Is this club a feeder for the Cowboys?

How does this fit into the larger picture for Todd's future post 2009?

How can a club/company have any say whatsoever in the future of someone they just sacked ? This is geniused. Imagine just getting sacked from your job, but your company still has the right to block you from being employed with a competitor. LOL if they dont back off, he should sue the crap out of the NRL.

How can he sue the nrl, they arent the ones stopping him.

Yes companys can block you from being employed with an competitor , record companys can sack someone and stop them from entering an agreement with another record company

Would have been great to have had him come and do some missionary work in the heathen lands of the West! Would have been great for the team but maybe not the best advocate for the game to use as our poster boy!

Hardly. Atheron is at 753 metres above sea level. From February to the start of August "the drizzle" sets in. He won't see the sun. (Quote literally.) It is cool enough there in winter that houses have fireplaces, and temperatures can drop to -1, -2. Maximums during the day during the drizzle top out in the low to mid-twenties... when it is warm.

Sounds absolutely lovely to me.

I'll buy a house there to use between May and July.

Sod being there the rest of the year when that heat and humidty kicks in though. Urgh.

Lucky to top 31 more than two or three times during the rest of the year. It doesn't have the awful heat and humidity of Cairns (or the general awfulness of Mareeba :) )

Comprehension isn't your strong point is it Tim? I guess its not important to you if you can't eat it.

Where did he "demand" you dont do something?

He asked how you dare call someone a name, before telling the other person not to listen to you.

I understand the resentment in the Raiders camp. The pinned their hopes on the lad being the cornerstone for the current and future resurgence of the raiders into a premiership force.

He's not playing in the NRL. They sacked him. Move on. He' splaying in cairns for gods sake. He's not on your pay roll anymore, what interest have the raiders got in the lads place of employment now?

Exactly, I would've thought a non-compete clause would only cover First Grade football in either Australia/NZ or maybe England.

If he's playing Z-grade Cairns footy then good on him.

Hope it sets him straight.

I think it is at the point now that the Raiders are starting to go a bit over the top with this. I know Carney was an important signing to the Raiders and he let them down on many occasions and blah blah blah, it gets to a point now that he is playing Z grade football in Atherton which includes a job in the pub and they want to step in and stop it, give the clown a break.

If he f$%ks up in Atherton, let the Roosters sort it out, the Raiders aren't paying him anymore as far as I am aware, he's not playing in the NRL, he's playing in the level below QLD cup FFS, they were prepared to let him go and play for Goulbourn, you reckon alcohol wouldn't be around him constantly in his home town????? I think the raiders are scared that he will get a deal with the Cowboys in the near future out of this, that is the feeling I am getting.

In other words, if someone shoots at you using bullets, it's not ok for you to return fire? Like I just did in the defence of DD?

Riiight.
