seems to me that carneys manager is holding out for the best deal he can get as this will most likely be the last big contract he will sign. fair play to him.

if he is holding out for some more cash, which looks to be likely (i believe we have tabled a 5 year deal? could be wrong) is the new board, like they promised before the elections, looking into 3rd party deals for him and having toruble securing one? is that the reason for the hold up perhaps? who knows.

i dont think so. im confident we have offered a fair contract, and todd is happy with it, but getting the extra money (3rd party deals) has hit a hurdle.

I can only think of 2 hurdles. 1) we can't get any or 2) Schubert has vetoed the ones we did have and I know there were 3rd party deals used to get our offer competitive.

Perhaps this new, highly connected board of shrewd business men should start calling in favours.
