The penrith offer sent at the end of last week is said to be 150k more than ours per year.

150 x 5 = $750k extra salary over 5 years then what we have come up with.

I believe I read their initial offer was 750 which he knocked back. All of this is based off what I read not any "info".

All I'm thinking is that we shouldn't get dragged into an outrageous bidding war for Carney. I'd love for him to stay, but not for $860-900k a year!! That's a marque player rate i'd have thought, and I don't believe Carney has been at that level (yet).

Give him $900k a year if that's what it takes to keep him. Who is going to play 5/8 next year and the years beyond? He is a player you build a team around, and a player other players sign to play with. If the passes stuck against the Bulldogs, would he have played a 900k game? He is a marquee player.

I know it would look terrible in the real world and I know our coach would never do it, however I reckon Penani will be a great 5/8th.

Different position however look at south's with Sandow. They were all in disarray, along comes Renold's and now they're sailing.
