Who was better?

In hindsight I think Turbo 2021 is more like Hayne 2014 than Hayne 2009?

Hayne 2009 did absolutely every-f**ken-thing and carried us to a grand final despite being in a spine with Jeff Robson, Daniel Mortimer and Matt Keating

2014 Hayne scored 20 tries and f**k knows how many assists in a team that came tenth. Semi had 19 and I think Ken Sio on the wing had like 12 and then next best was Vai f**ken Toutai or some scrub in single digits?

Actually on that maybe even 2014 Hayne is better than 2021 Turbo? At least Tommy had Garrick scoring a million points, Saab scoring 25 tries cos V'landys ball and DCE at half over f**ken Sandow

Wasn’t that bullshit cheating Storm team that “won” that day over the cap too?

The “Big 3 or 4” or whatever the purple merkins callled themselves.

Hayne imo. He was absolutely unbelievable that year, the defenders were bricking it every time he got the ball.

Think from memory the cheats shut Hayne down in the gf, but overall Jarryd showed he was a better big game player that year too. Turbo carved up a busted chooks, was contained in his other 2 finals, and was kept quiet in origin III as well.
But honestly, what a privilege to be able to watch these 2 guns* in full flight

*Hayne being a scumbag put to the side for the moment

The only way this gets resolved is via a footrace down the Corso on a Saturday night.

Turbo v Plane

Of coarse we may have to wait a few years for that to happen....

Good point. That 2009 Dragons team was pretty sound defensively and Hayne just shredded us up and farted out a big cloud of red and white confetti in front of a capacity crowd of the thirstiest Dragons fans at Jubilee.

Two Stroke Tommy just turtled himself against Souffs. Weak as piss performance.

Ploiz. Seriously, this comparison is a joke.

P.s: And I’m a Tommy fan! But this is silly. Hayne-Train has Pop-Gun Tommy in his hip-pocket when we are comparing these two years. It really isn’t close.

Tom dropped one over the line with 6 millions hands on the ball (not calling it a strip but hard to hold onto in that situation) and made the break down the left with ease to put Garrick away only to be called back for a smooth brained run by Suli that didn't impact the play. Both fair no tries but I'm not sure the poor performance was on Tom.

Lot's of things rhyme with Hayne but not much rhymes with Turbojevic.

Therefore Tommy was a better player, it's science.

Hayne because the game is a lot easier now with the 6 again rule and we have seen how most games were a blowout

One took his team with no spine to a GF, whereas the other shit his duds when it really mattered.

Hayne by the length of the straight, riding hands and heels.

Tom is like the manchild, who stutters against quality. At least hayne gave it to all oppositions. he also headbutted slater, Tom would buy his worst enemy a latte.
