Tonights Game v Penrith

Well after 40 minutes I'd like to know if the team trained together this week. They just looked disorganised and their timing was crap.

Negatives -
see the Moltzen thread.
Marshall and his kicks.
Heighno still stopping at the line.

Positives -
for me the runs by Moors and Bell prior to the Fulton try.
defense of Moors, Bell, Galloway & Woods. Farah as well but we expect that.
Lawrence and his turn of speed for his try.

40 minutes to turn their season around.

I know there was no one in front of him but why, oh why can Heighno run like that all the time?

Positives:
It's a win.
Moors and his defence.
Moltzen and his effort in the Lewis near try.
Ready didn't get on which indicates that Sheens is going to stick with the centres and wingers now:?

Negatives:
Moltzen. he is not the answer at 1.

How the f**k did we win? We made Penrith look world class.

Benji's kicks were woeful. Moltzen was shit everywhere. Ryan is a much better fullback.

Our back row had its best game. BMM was awesome.

Boy we are a long way from finals contenders.

Moltzen did one good thing and that was the try saver on Lewis, outside of that .........

MU, I agree, we are pretenders at the moment and not contenders

Moltzen is a farkin gimp
Heighno, great try, but really just not a first grader
Bell needs to play 80 minutes

Why the f**k does Benji feed the scrums? Feed then pass. What a waste.

Put Blair at prop and make him work

Woods
Farah
Galloway
Ellis
Fulton
Bell

Bench
Blair
BMM
Moors

Our back row was so much better. Blair should be benched at best.

8 Woods
9 Farah
10 Galloway
11 Ellis
12 Fulton
13 Bell

14 BMM
15 Hino
16 Blair
17 Moors

Yes, 100% that's the forward pack and the bench.

Now can we start on the backs?
Did anyone watch Balmain today? Grant didn't score but how did he go? They must have played well to beat the Dogs.

For me it can only be.
1. Ryan
2. Utai
3. Lawrence
4. Ayshford
5. Grant (I hope)
6. Marshall, Marshall and only Marshall
7. Humble (again how did the Tigers go, how was Humble at 6?) please please, not Moltzen

f**k you guys must have the smallest penises in the world.

We won and we won well. Penrith got lucky with decisions going there way that were woeful.

Benji's kicking game was shithouse but it would have been shithouse if he was playing 6. He ran it more than he has recently and he looked good. Heighno put the game away for us. Moltzen came up with probably the biggest play of the game.

Admit that you have been complete and utter f**kwits and STFU.

MU your last post makes sense. Well done.

Umm mixed bag today from Grant , he had zero chances with the ball on the wing but made some good runs up the centre when coming in looking for the ball . A certain bulldogs runaway try was on the cards except for his speed to make up 10 metres and catch him , his effort on the tackle was pretty shit altho it was enough to break down the play an prevent the try . His effort etc looked good but his defencive technique needs some work which im sure will go against him . As far as humble who played 6 had a great game and directed play perfectly , he also nailed an awesome field goal from nearly 40m out to put us 7 points in front which broke the backs of the dogs allowing us to run away with the game 33-16

I think we would have been better tonight with Grant on the wing, Ryan in the centres and Ayshford off the bench.

Ayshford seems to be struggling in the centres. Humble might be better than Sirro at 6 but we need to stick with some players there and I figure Benji and Sirro is as good an option as what we have.

Moltzen at 7 would be so much better, he plays with more confidence there.

He also fits into the role very quickly, whereas it usually takes him half a year to get confidence at fullback, and it doesn't always last.

I'd have Moltzen at 7 before anyone else at the club. Sironen isn't getting enough ball at 6.

WTF !!! Chill out 05 , fmd not everything we post here is aggreed to by everyone so dont take it so personaly and spit the dummy

Ohh and in saying that i didnt think it was a good win at all , it was a win and not much more .

back on the game -Why do we have Sironen there if he isnt going to get the ball ? It was mentioned that last week Benji had 71 touched to Jnr Sirro's 9 , im sure tonights stats would have been very similar.
Humble 7 Benji 6 and Moltzen the new Reddy on the bench would work for me .

I think for our defence and our attack, our strongest team needs Benji and Moltzen in the halves. Moltzen's passing and running off Benji is essentially lost when he's at fullback, because Benji ends up just holding onto the ball a lot and dishing it off to centres or back rowers without being at all creative.

Benji needs space, whenever the defence are rushing him he panics, ESPECIALLY when kicking.

1 - Ryan
2 - Utai
3 - Ayshford
4 - Lawrence
5 - Grant/Koroibete
6 - Marshall
7 - Moltzen
8 - Woods
9 - Farah
10 - Galloway
11 - Ellis
12 - Fulton
13 - Bell

14 - Heighington
15 - Blair
16 - Murdoch Masila
17 - Moors

If that team got 3 straight games together in those positions, you'd see our attack and defence work so much better.

Benji would get the ball in better circumstances with more space to create and run with Moltzen at 7. He would use Moltzen well in the middle running off him, as they had done previously. Benji would have more time to get kicks away and would have less pressure to do everything when he gets the ball.

He'd also defend on his favoured side of the field.

Ryan is a million times more safer when defending kicks, and he runs the ball back harder.

Moltzen has to be in the mix, we need his speed. Tonight was not his best game but if we are to beat the good teams we need a inform Moltzen at no1. Beau Ryan is solid as a rock but as a no1 one he just not going blow any team away with a kick reception or back up a break.Okay Moltzen has not done it often this year but when on song is a game breaker

It was not great but at least there was some slight improvement, thankfully we were only playing
the Panthers and not any of the real contenders.
