Tony smith will be our coach 2014 we where linked to him a while ago, but if u put 2 and 2 together it's starting to make sense.. the soon to be halves are the halves of England rangi and widdop, which tony smith chose to be the pairing halves in the england team, and now another pom signing Mike cooper from the same club where tony coaches now, my gut feeling is it's 100% tony smith ! I have no idea when it will be announced tho but i would like to say he's stats are really good! Ever since he arrived at warrington wolves he's got them into the top 4 2010 , 2011 , 2012 and so far now there coming 3rd bit like a Wayne to us when he arrived ! .. Top 4 coach sounds good to me

Really? You can honestly say it's set in stone? Sure it's not just speculation?! I'm not saying its not highly likely, but the inclusion of Cooper is hardly anything to go by?

IF it happens, it wouldn't be a bad thing - again, I feel sorry for Pricey, but I've said all along that he should only bee replaced by someone who is a decent upgrade. Sounds like T.Smith is a decent upgrade. Welcome aboard!

Smith isn't the current England coach though, so he didn't put Widdop and Chase together (and as mentioned elsewhere they haven't actually played together) . That said, it's as likely a proposition as any, and I don't mind Tony Smith

I'd say its very unlikely. Smith has a long term contract, a British passport, British kids and unfinished business at Warrington (yet to win a premiership)

He's never coached Widdop or Chase. In fact, Widdop has never played 5/8 for England.

From memory, Tony was a decent player, not a world beater, but certainly worthy of first grade...

There may well be a clause in his contract that if an NRL job became available he would be released as is often the case. If so I would be ok with him.
