Yeah not sure what you class as a war movie

1. Braveheart - best movie ever made IMO
2. Saving Private Ryan - loved it, best war scene ever IMO
3. Gallipoli - sad sad story
4. Dirty Dozen - its old but bloody great movie
5. Inglorious bastads - i love Tarantino movies, i smile the whole way through them

Honorable mention to, Tears of the sun, Life is beautiful, and 300.

i remember back in the mid 90s when i was at school my teacher made us watch a movie called the longest day which turned out to be a pretty good movie :)
so on to my top 5

Full Metal Jacket, The Deer Hunter, Apocalypse Now are probably my three favourites. I also enjoyed a "comedy" by the name of Biloxi Blues which was set in a boot camp similar to full metal jacket. Christopher Walken and Ferris Bueller was in it lol ... a good movie actually. Bill Murray in Stripes was probably the funniest war movie though.

I don't know if a war was involved in that fiasco, but General Buck Turgidson might have a word or two to say about it.
