i remember back in the mid 90s when i was at school my teacher made us watch a movie called the longest day which turned out to be a pretty good movie

Full Metal Jacket, The Deer Hunter, Apocalypse Now are probably my three favourites. I also enjoyed a "comedy" by the name of Biloxi Blues which was set in a boot camp similar to full metal jacket. Christopher Walken and Ferris Bueller was in it lol ... a good movie actually. Bill Murray in Stripes was probably the funniest war movie though.

I second that, each episode was like a war movie. Cant wait for The Pacific.
