Who'd have thought parramatta were going to make the 8 at this time last year.
On current form and taking injuries into account, you would have to say that the top 2 sides are going to be the Dragons and the Titans, both whom are winning without some serious personnel. Souths are not far behind them, considering that they've got the likes of Asotasi, Crocker, Ross and a few others to come back...some of their lesser lights look like twice the players they were last year, and Issac Luke is the current form player of the competition with no compare.... Penrith are now back at full strength really, and are playing good football, but they were doing the same last year, until injuries killed them. But they're a good side...Moltzen's injury is immeasurably damaging to the tigers, although Lui's return can ease that somewhat. Manly won't get Brett Stewart back, although I do think it's only a matter of time before we see Hoppa jr get a run.
The roosters real star this year has been Jr Jr, and he's now out for six weeks. Tigers should really do a number on them this week I think.
The raiders are the team that interest me though......They have a few players to come back who will make a remarkable difference. Joel Monaghan is one. Travis Waddell the other. With Monaghan back, the raiders can move Joel Thompson back into the back row. Waddell and Buttriss should really be the hookers for that team. Tongues a good lock.....Terrible dummy half......
