More interesting is how long since teams made the final 4 (preliminary). When you make the prelim you start having real premiership hopes.

Sharks 2016
Storm 2016
Cowboys 2016
Raiders 2016
Broncos 2015
Roosters 2015
Rabbitohs 2014
Bulldogs 2014
Panthers 2014
Eagles 2013
Knights 2013
Warriors 2011
Titans 2010
Tigers 2010
Eels 2009.

Every team has had at least 1 good chance at a premiership in the last decade, and a dozen in the last 5 years

Interesting. How about the other way. Last time teams missed the 8. I know Melbournes was 2010. Is that the longest?

That's why I've been a fan of the salary cap

How about you give every team points out of 16, or whatever number of teams competed each year, for where they finished the regular season since the NRL was conceived . . . something any smart sponsor would look at

I think there was a thread showing normally only two teams drop out of the 8 from the previous season.

I think that is definitely not going to be the case this year.

Doesn't the period officially known as "modern history" commence at the fall of the Bastille Prison?

Here's a Ladder combining all regular season games from the last 10 seasons i used 2007 as a starting point as that's when the titans were introduced and 10 seasons is a good round number. Panthers and tigers were equal so i uses finals wins to decide the tie-breaker

1.Manly- 319
2.Broncos- 308
3. Bulldogs- 292
4. Rabbitohs- 287
5. Cowboys- 284
6. Dragons- 281
7. Roosters- 280
8. Panthers- 260
9. Tigers-260
10. Sharks- 256
11. Raiders- 255
12. Titans- 253
13. Warriors- 241
14. Knights- 234
15. Storm- 223
16. Eels- 222

They scored 0 points between 2007-2010. It's still an effort that they aren't dead last due to that
They only scored 0 in 2010. The points weren't taken off them from 07-09, only the premierships. But if that's how you want to count it then fair enough. Like you said 4 years lost and still not last, not to bad
