recently watched total recall (not having seen it for over 10 years) and was pretty disappointed in it really(flame away!!).

thought the spec effects were pretty dated(very rubbery) and the dialog was ordinary(then again as a vehicle for arnie - it's not too bad).

big fan of philip k dick so hoping the new one does him some justice.

The original was made like any other Veerhoeven film. It's his hallmark.

Sharon Stone looked ultra hot IMO and some of the one liners were classic Arnie.

Definitely, but at the same time, most movies these days simply change the name and remake an unoriginal concept.

Sometimes they stray too far from the original concept. Planet of the Apes is a good example. The originals are classics but the special effects are non existant and they're just very dated. A remake was a great idea but the Mark Wahlberg version was one of the worst movies of the last 20 years. The more recent movie was great but I'd still like to see a remake of the original without straying too far from the books.

Mutated face guy to Arnie "You've got some nerve showing your face around here"

Arnie "Look who's talking"

Still has the chick fight, could be worth a go. Would prefer if the name was changed slightly though. Its not the same without Arnie quipping whilst holding severed arms

Tim Burton is a pedophile of the film world. He takes loved, cherished and innocent stories not protected anymore and rapes them. Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. Planet Of The Apes. Alice In Wonderland. Dark Shadows looks like a piece of $hit too.

For years people actually thought Burtons relationship with Batman was consentual because Schumacher was such a flaming pedo.

But Chris Nolan thankfully came along and showed Burton had Batman bent over with a rag in his mouth all along.
