That is so shit.

We are lucky to have a competant backup in Parker but that would be a massive blow. Especially with Dembele and his ongoing injuries. Maybe now is a good time to take Holtby for 1-2 mill, as I can't see Moutinho happening and I wouldn't want to be relying on Huddlestone/Livermore...

nothing official yet, just bits and pieces coming thru from Twitter but I fear the worst, thank god for parker so we dont really lose much

I get the feeling Mourts wont happen, looks like we've moved on to other targets, same with Leandro as they keep upping his price

Sandro had a procedure yesterday and no news yet, it may have just been a clean out but it wasn't a full reco

He wont be playing against ManU but could be out for a few months which is basically season ending but I'm only guessing, no one really knows yet not even the beast himself as the scans were unclear

the Beast is out for the season (unofficially), just heard from a guy at the club who spoke to him

means Holtby will be brought in now instead of summer if we want to fork out 1.5 mill which looks likely because he still has 6 months on his contract and Schalke have agreed to let him go as they have a replacement lined up

Doin a Man U to Man U, happy days in the snow, a point thoroughly deserved

Nah.

Shooting from 30 yards wide then crying to the ref (Dembele) or diving (Parker) does not mean you deserve it.

Defoe had a few chances. Shame he is an average footballer though. ;-)

seen it 2 and half times now, cant believe we only scored once

just shows how average our striker are, I know Dempsy worked his arse off and it was one of his best games but he really in not the skill level that we need if we wanna be a top 4 team, same with Defoe

15 shots to 4 on goal and it ends at 1 all, we should have done better

more like we cant afford the players we want, we could end up with a new striker this window but it will be a cheap young player with potential and we are looking at one atm but cant even remember his name

our wage bill has us restricted atm, although talk that Gomes may be off and he is on a decent wage but while we still have the likes of Bentley and Jenas on the wage bill we are screwed

if we can unload them it becomes a different scenario but alot of clubs are broke atm and cannot afford the wages these guys are on.

I got the felling that if we scored in the 50th-60th minute United would have got their shit together and scored a few.

They were in cruise control the whole match.

But yes we need a good striker badly. Dempsey is fine, he's not a striker - he's good at what he does and has a place in the team. Defoe is way too hot and cold. And at the moment he is cold.

We play better with one striker instead of 2. We can actually control the ball in midfield and keep possession much better.

well he split up with Silvie so he could return, he only went to Germany for her career

doubtful tho besides we got a pretty young replacement in Holtby and it looks like he'll be joining as early as this week, some one tweeted he could even play against Leeds

Defoe has picked up a leg injury and has had scans

we are officially down to zero strikers as Ade is playing in the ACN

I expect this will force our hand a bit during the transfer window which only has a week to go

luckily we dont play any EPL games for another week
