I woke up early in the morning and it took me half an hour to realize we were playing.
Bale's own goal was hilarious, however, he basically set up the win - and it was Lennon's fault anyway.

I must say, given that we lost Modric and van der Vaart, and players such as Dembele, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto, Parker, Adebayor, et al have been missing for either most or all of the season, we are doing pretty well to be where we are. IMO under AVB we are much more likely to grind out tough games.

its a bit frustrating having so many injured players but we seem to be hanging in

no doubt we'll be spending big on a play maker to replace Modric and I'm sure we've given up dealing with Porto regarding Mourtinho

we just gotta hang in till January and we've already played all the top teams so we got a reasonable run into January

Yeah, the only issue is fixture congestion, but every EPL team will suffer from that. Unlike the top teams, we have less competitions to compete in, which will help immensely as far as player fitness goes.

December is a huge month for us. We really have to make a strong impression here, it could define our season. And yeah, agreed on the playmaker front. It will be interesting to see what happens, especially given we were quite willing and able to shell out what would have been top dollar for Moutinho.

up to equal third now but gotta keep it going, nice to see Sandro get a goal, he's the hardest worker that we got

Bale out for 2 weeks and Daws for 1 week, both with hammys

Bale could do with a rest anyway

To play like horse-crap and win 3-0 is pretty awesome. To play badly and win three games in a week against tough opposition is crazy. To be equal third and the equal second-highest scoring team this season despite losing Modric, van der Vaart, King, and being without Adebayor, Parker, Dembele, Assou Ekotto and others for much of the season is absolutely ludicrous.

We are doing exceedingly well given the circumstances.
I must say, though we started poorly and we don't really play as well as we have done in the past, we are actually grinding out the results. It is wonderful to see.
With a lot of our injured/suspended players returning for the rest of December, we are looking pretty darn good.
I wonder if we will sign another quality midfielder ala Moutinho in January?

Surely hes off the radar now, wouldn't mind seeing another Striker turn up during the transfer window, other then that the squad should be close to 100% healthy within a few weeks

Wilian or Isco type of player is no 1 priority, we got the money but I just think it depends on what some of the other big spending clubs will do, those types of players are in demand and we cant compete with the big spenders

pretty sure we'll be looking for back up left fb so we can get Verts back to CB if Benny is injured again

and I agree with Boxy, amazing how we are doing with this squad, maybe we should be giving AVB some credit

I hope the new ground isn't like the Emirates. Looks way too far away from the action and so sterile. Needs a bit of character. Hopefully we keep a square design

That's not confirmed, looks pretty good though. Although on second look it looks a lot like the Emirates

An announcement from the club in the last day or so, tendering process is happening atm, expected to take about 12 months, then 3 years construction, ready by 2016.

They've always said 2016 so nothing has changed really.

I can't believe we threw that game away, really peeved with how we simply fell asleep in the last five minutes. Their first goal had Caulker make a bad clearance when it was Lloris' ball anyway, then Kyle decides "I'm getting out of here" and watches idly as the ball comes to Pienarr. Their second goal was also bad luck, not much could have been done about it, however how we gave them the ball and gave them so much space was pretty disgraceful. Really disgusted with that, especially given that was one of our most defensively committed performances I've seen in a long time. We didn't deserve to lose that.

true, but still a pretty ordinary game

we didn't exactly set the world on fire, neither did Everton
