sounds good but wont happen, he wants to leave Inter because they want to resign him and down grade his wages as they have huge problems complying with FFP which is rather ironic when you consider we dont pay anyone more than $100K a week so he wont be coming to WHL

seems we are the only ones showing any interest but I very much doubt we are serious

Levy only wants to sign young players on long terms contracts, hence the interest in Eriksen but I really dont know why he is so highly regarded, he is Levy's target

Sherwood was the guy who scouted Modric and he wants Isco but so do alot of other teams

assuming we get Mourts AVB then wants Wilian but we'd need to sell a few players first

Meanwhile, with Bale looking close to joining Real Madrid at some point over the next 12 months (obviously the Summer is when it will happen) i see that "partnership" with Real Madrid is really paying dividends for you guys!

First Modric, now Bale. Yep, great "mutually beneficial partnership" indeed. Who are you going to get in return, Kaka? Fair trade!!

And THAT is why Madrid want Bale.

Forget about the horrible miss by Jermaine DeLol. The run from Bale to set him up was beyond world class. This kid could be something great, no doubt.

We did something City couldn't do lol, Surprised Jan didn't replace Daws late on.
Bale to miss the game v Reading, somehow I doubt it'll matter. He could use the break

I'm not convinced he will move in the near future as he keeps saying he wants to stay with Spurs every time he is asked but I guess thats what he would say

he is still pretty young and has a way to go as he can be very good like the game against Villa than he can be a bit quiet, consistency is what he lacks atm but that maybe due to his age and perhaps at around 25-27 he will be at his peak

he is a pretty humble guy and always seems appreciative of what Spurs have done for him and he is also one of our highest paid players at around 100K a week, no doubt he could get alot more in Spain and he'll eventually leave Spurs

Spurs midfielder Sandro leads way with most interceptions in Premier League

By Tom Etherington 2012-12-29 13:26:00

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro is leading the way with the most interceptions of play in the Premier League this season, according to data from talkSPORT.

The Brazilian has topped the list of unsung heroes, who have been highlighted as expert readers of the game, and is described by the publication as “the beast of the Tottenham midfield” and a “tireless worker”.

Sandro has made 74 interceptions so far this season and is beating all other players by some distance, with Spurs teammate Jan Vertonghen in second-place with 56.

The 23-year-old said: "I’m glad to reach those numbers, but when I'm playing I'm not noticing that data. I just think about winning games with Tottenham.

"But it is satisfying to see my work recognised and that's what I try to do; steal balls, intercept the opponent's offensive plays, and seek a good outlet for our attacks."

The former Internacional man has flourished under Andre Villas-Boas this season, especially due to his brilliant partnership with Moussa Dembele, and has earned plaudits for his impressive displays.

Top 10 Premier League players for interceptions

1. Sandro (Tottenham) - 74

2. Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham) - 56

3. Chris Baird (Fulham) - 56

4. Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton) - 55

5. Mikel Arteta (Arsenal) - 51

6. Geoff Cameron (Stoke) - 50

7. Steve Sidwell (Fulham) - 50

8. Ryan Nelson (QPR) - 46

9. Mikele Leigertwood (Reading) - 45

10. Ashley Williams (Swansea) - 45

Sandro has also earned himself a place on the 30-man shortlist for the 2012 Samba Gold Trophy.

There is still time to vote for who you believe to be this year’s top Brazilian performer in European football by clicking here.

getting sick of Bale being targeted by the refs, 3 in a row now and he has to sit a game out

http://www.mobypicture.com/user/leephelps/view/14512962

how the f**k is that a dive and why are they targeting him ?
I both agree and disagree. I agree that he's being targeted because what he did there is done by a lot of players routinely and 99% of the time it is ignored. I'd like to see them book everyone in that situation.

BUT it was a dive. He's a grown man. A tap like that wouldn't have made him fall over if he didn't want to. If he was directly infront of goal with just the keeper to beat do you really think he'd have fallen?

Good feeling to wake up to three wins in a row, unbeaten in five. I rightly thought this was a danger game, but it looks like we are winning the games we should be winning in the past few months, quite unlike our start to the season. We've definitely got a better back-bone than before.

we're still leaking a few tho our for and against is crap and could cost us at the end of the season but I shouldn't complain because we are winning atm

Coventry in a cup game this weekend so I reckon we'll give a few a rest before our game against árry's QPR
