Falcons grabbed Steve Jackson

good luck sjax, he deserves a shot at the championship.

wouldn''t it be funny though if the rams beat them in the playoffs. just like when geoff gerrard left the eels to win a premiership with manly then the eels won 3 gfs in a row, two against manly.

Was watching a interview with the Eagles DC and he is supremenly confident Cole can transition "if that is the way we decide to go" which clearly it is

They might use Cole in that preditor spot. Which is essentially a guy that rushes the passer every down.
He could transition well into that because he's also got good instincts and is stout against the run.

Graham can cover a bit if he drops some weight.

Issac is a short term NT solution, we still dont have a clear cut DE across from Cox. And I think we're a little thin at ILB (although Casy Mathews might do alright under chip)

I think LT, CB, OG, NT, DE, ILB and QB are the eagles needs in the draft right now.

Man Eagles sure are spending some coin, not really a great strategy from years past but lets see what happens.

If they need ILB depth, they should look at a guy like Larry Grant

Colts are coming off really desperate. $35m for Cherilus, $16m for Erik f'ing Walden, and now $22m for RJF, who has never played more than 27% of the 9ers defensive snaps.

What the hell....Is John Schnyder some kind of Jedi!

Michael Bennett agrees to 1 year $5m deal with Seahawks.

They now have Bennett, Avril, Clemens and Irvin...that's a lot of pass rush now.

49ers get Delmas and looking at getting Nnamdi

NFC West is gonna be crazy good to watch.

Eagles havent spent that much money
After Aso was cut we had around 40 mil to spend, we'd still have 10-15 mil of that left, and have picked up probably 6-7 players. It's not like we've broken the bank for anyone. Many of which will be starters on team, and alot of them, Casey and Barwin excluded, are on short term team friendly deals.

Which essentially means they are short term solutions whilst we draft better and still have freedom cap wise to chase a big time free agent should one pop up that we like

Can't be too upset with what the Eagles are doing so far. We needed a complete makeover and the process of that has begun with these FA signings. All of the players signed are needs and we didn't really overpay to get them here.

James Casey would probably be my favourite acquisitions so far.

Safety Craig Dahl signs 3-year deal with 49ers

The Rams weren?t interested in bringing back free safety Craig Dahl, but quietly there was a fair amount of interest in him around the league once free agency started. On Saturday, just five days into free agency Dahl went off the market, signing a three-year deal with NFC West rival San Francisco.
The Rams liked Dahl for his intelligence and toughness. He made sure everyone got lined up correctly in the back end, and was the kind of player coaches like. But the Rams want to get more athletic at the position, so after four seasons and 40 starts in St. Louis, Dahl is gone.
He started all 16 games for the Rams last season, the first time he had done that in five NFL seasons, finishing with 100 tackles with one interception and two pass breakups. Dahl, 27, entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants in 2007. He joined the Rams via free agency in 2009.
?We are pleased to announce the signing of Craig,? said 49ers general manager Trent Baalke in a statement released by the team. ?He is an experienced veteran with excellent intangibles, who has working knowledge of the NFC West.?
Along those lines, maybe Dahl can help the 49ers figure out how to beat the Rams, who tied and beat San Francisco in a pair of overtime games last season.
Meanwhile, guard/tackle Chris Williams, who joined the team at midseason and appeared in three games, paid a free agent visit to Carolina. There were no new developments as of late Saturday afternoon on left tackle Jake Long, who left St. Louis on Friday without reaching a deal.
