Trainers on field

Why the hell does the NRL allow the clubs to have the trainers on the field when play is going and a player is not down? Whilst I loved the game (and the result :) geez, the trainers were annoying the hell out of me. I'd have loved the ref to order them off the field. I really got sick and tired of seeing their mugs on the TV.

i cant imagine the players like it either. every trainer is yelling at them and saying where to stand. these guys are professional footballers ffs, they shouldnt need someone on all the time.

the nrl needs to make a rule saying they can only come on during stoppages or when someone is hurt.

Not sure if it was Leeds or the Titans trainer but yes, one of them was once. Should have been a lot more........ maybe then they'd have got the message.

I'm annoyed it spoilt my enjoyment of an overwise damn good game of footie. Go the Wests Tigers.

This one could probably go in the main forum

Just about everybody I know gets the sh*ts with it as well, but the NRL won't do anything about it.

Correct. Play was stopped and Leeds was told to POQ. He was on the field during a defensive set.

IMO the water runners should be impartial people with no affiliation to any NRL club and only there to hand out the water.

I wont say its ruining the game but it definitely is a blight when the star players are paid so much and still are not trusted to do their jobs adequately without some faded star from yester-year there to bark orders at them everytime they have the ball.

Ron Palmer almost got used as a shepherd last night.

He entered at the wrong point of the field and the Titans got advantage out of it. That should be a penalty

Palmer almost getting the ball while deep in the titans backline was pretty amusing.

Drives me nuts. Langer is the worst i reckon. I was watching the Tigers V Suncorp and he was out there EVERY set of 6 the Broncos had possession and was slow to retreat when the Broncos were in defence. When defending he would run slowly towards the side line 4 metres behind the Bronces telling them where to stand.

Honestly i think he would have been on the field at least 80% of the game.

Leeds - never saw him....:sarcasm: (not quite as bad)

Didnt notice it that much last night, they were scared of getting hit by the " HAYNE TRAIN " And 1 nearly got hit by the band wagon which was starting fill up again.
Sorry not exaxtly trainers but trains sounded nearly the same so i had to mention it, plus it does my f**king head in the way the media rave on about him..
