Transfer Rumour Mill

Barca and Real Madrid seem to have a monopoly on the world's football talent atm as Ozil is set to join Barca. If they want a player they generally get them (even if it takes them a year longer than they would like).

Not good at all for La Liga as they're both a good 30 points better than the competition. Won't be long before they both go bust big time. It's already started with Barca - weren't they late on player payments this year?

It goes without saying that the Seria A and the Premier League are in a similar hole. Its simply not sustainable IMO and it wont be long before the big leagues adopt the Bundesliga model...

Their monopoly on the TV deal is worse.

La Liga is heading for another crappy season of Real Madrid having back to back highest scoring seasons coming second. Not long ago La Liga had some healthy competition but throw in Valencia's squad being pillaged and if third can get within 30 points they've done well. Shortly La Liga will end up where Serie A is but probably worse. EPL will still be healthy.

The SPL is more competitive than La Liga.

But anyway, a little bit of talk about Gai Assulin to City on a free from Barca. Not too hopeful though.

Would be lucky to even make Citeh's bench imo.

TT I'm not sure about Goal.com, all I do know though is that it is complete and utter garbage. The Sun is a more reliable source.

I was wondering why the duopoly were so hesitant for an EPL-like TV deal since I figured that they'd make enough money as it is. Then Barca's financial troubles came along and it all made sense.

as a fan of La Liga, I'd like to see them crash and burn, I dont hate them but its just not a level playing field

I know we will never have a playing field where 20 teams are level, but they may as well just put RM and Barca in another league and let the rest play in another division

I would assume contract length is easier to work out than a wage demand, a 1+1 could easily fix that - Gallas wants security and Spurs see the age so a 1+1 shows incentive.

Wouldn't surprise me, being a mercenary is in his blood.

Chelsea > Arsenal > Spurs.

90% of London would hate him for one reason or another.

Benoit Cheyrou > Galatasaray and not West Ham
Klaas Jan Huntelaar > Schalke
Zlatan Ibrahimovic > Milan
Kevin-Prince Boateng > Milan

transfer fee is only about 12 mill but wages are ridiculous if you believe the rumours

Like Fabregas would not command atleast double the wage with quadruple the transfer fee?

Kevin Prince Boateng, who was bought by Genoa from Portsmouth, may be sent out immediately on loan to AC Milan. Strange one.
