Jazz was anonymous, but also indicitive of what I was saying about the mesh of metal and such.

I remember Megatron ripping someone in half, didn't really know who it was, there were no distinguishing features of any robot, other than Primes blue and Bumblebees yellow.

Dude Jazz was the only black transformer, remember "What's crackin' little bitches" when the autobots introduced themselves? I was pissed about him dying, albeit in an awesome way.

Megan Fox's performance, in particular when she first encounters Bumblebee, were wooden. Wooden in the way that makes one regret seeing a movie with the girly. I guess spontaneity in a relationship is replaced with a good five minutes of laughing at me and a "There's no way THAT's going to happen" stare.

What can I say about the Film? AWESOME!!! F*ck yeah! I caught the very back end of the Transformers craze (Early 1990's), and though it wasn't as awesome as it could have been, it was sill pretty sweet.

Jazz, as the token Black autobot, was slated for death. It's like the first rule of action films. Sambo dies.

It was an entertaining movie but f*ck me it wasnt a great movie. Geez it had the same story line as a million movies with the whole the kids a nerd and gets the hot girl and the whole movie was pretty predictable.

I went and saw the movie 2 times i thought it was that fricking awesome.
I thought the movie held up strong i wasnt that big a transformers fan as a child but i took my 9 year old to see it and even he loved it.
lots of good fight scenes could have done a little more slow motion scenes ie Ironhide missile dodging " fantastic" also the shooting of scorponok from the plane where way cool....
I respect the film and if the next comes close or better with the same makers it will be a cult classic...:D

IPersonally, up until say the time they got to the Hoover dam, the story unfolded very nicely, and in mind that I know that 2 more sequels have already been approved, this was going to be an absolute epic, they Star Wars trilogy of the 2000's.

The ending was your typical Michael Bay, finish it off in one go, and somewhat weak at it. It didn't leave an impression of building up to a 3 movie trilogy. Then again Star Wars didn't, but it made EMpire Strikes Back build the case for it.

A solid Transformers 2 can do that, I suspect a Megatron -> Galvatron story line will do that.. decepticons will come back as we saw with Starscream.

I thought the same thing about it being the new Star Wars if they pull out two decent sequals. Has everything the original Star Wars movies had: Ridiculous script, awesome heroes and bad dudes and a great acting talent.

Like X-Men this movie had to have a somewhat slower introduction to set the scene and I'd expect the action/characterisation to pick up big time (more transformers/less humans) in the sequel.

Anyone looking for a serious film will be disappointed, despite the M rating the dialogue and script were aimed at the younger ones with plenty of humour (hit or miss humour). I hated Sam's parents, and cringed whenever they were on screen while the whole "lubricating" on people was a complete waste.

Can't argue with the action/visuals. Absolutely amazing and it was good to see some carnage (Bumblebee, Jazz etc getting mangled).

It won't go down as a classic. In 20 years or so when technology has gone even further ahead the movie will more than likely be judged on things other than just the visuals where it'll fall well short. It was a very good introduction, and how they follow it up will have more bearing on whether this movie becomes a vital part of a larger story or just another CGI spectacle.

As a fan of the eralier cartoons I really enjoyed it from start to finish, but it was nowhere near being a great movie.

Favourite line
Jazz to Megatron: You want a piece of me?
Megatron: No! I want two pieces!

Shia Lebeouf and Megan Fox were on the whole adequate. Anthony Anderson as always was rediculous, John Turturro even worse, and whoever that blonde aussie chick was, seemed like she was straight out of home and away.

As for cringeworthy lines, how about the big speech Sam gives "looking back don't you want to say you had the courage to get back in the car?"

or the geek cameo going on about how it was 100 times cooler than armageddon.

ÿou can do this!! your a soldier now!!

PHOTO GALLERY: Far Northern beauty Isabel Lucas is due to sign another Hollywood movie deal after catching the eye of Steven Spielberg when filming The Pacific.
A spokesman for Lucas’ agent, Meissner Management, said the starlet had been auditioning regularly during her time in the US.
But it was her work on the war epic filmed in the Far North that scored her latest role in the sequel to blockbuster movie Transformers.

"Steven Spielberg saw her work in The Pacific and really pushed for her to get it," the spokesman said.
"He is one of the producers of Transformers (2)."
The spokesman said Lucas was likely to play a "strong support role" in the film.
He said the Australian talent agents felt excited about the young actor’s development, after "discovering" her at the Port Douglas markets several years ago.
"Obviously it’s been a process," the spokesman said.
"It’s good to see that Isabel has remained focused and she’s starting to bear the fruits of that now.
"She’s got the emotional attributes required of an actor."
The spokesman described her as similar to actors Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman.
"The more she works, she gets better," he said.
"It’s a learning process. She’ll go far, I think."
Lucas is expected to return to Australia later this month to finalise her working visa.
