for a month.

What parts are you headed ? Ski Trip ?

No Skiing, unless I win the lotto, then I'll be skiing everywhere.
At the moment I'm just planning to visit Europe for a month, see London, Amsterdam, Paris and Rome then over to Greece, nothing extreme just want to see these places I've been hearing and reading about my whole life.

i have flown to wagga wagga. it was an incredible experience i want to repeat over and over

I would rather die.

I'm sure Wagga couldn't be any worse than Goulburn. I spent about 6 months there. I couldn't wait to get out of that sh!thole.

that can't be true

given the choice i'm sure you would choose wagga wagga

Not the way you put it, endless flights to Wagga wagga and back!
No thanks, death would be much more preferable.

Um I lived there once, one of my sisters was born there, Kathy, we all moved to Newcastle when I was three and a half, the only distant memory I have is seeing Popeye at the drive ins.

I saw an interview with the singer Billy Joel on TV and he cracked up when Wagga Wagga was mentioned - he implied that it means masturbation where he comes from.

I have a friend who is a serb, but he was born in an immigrant camp in Australia - but he won't tell you where because all the kids at school thought it was very funny when he said he was an aussie - born near Wagga.

Overseas -
USA - travelled for a month
Caribbean - Bahamas, Porta Rico, Virgin Islands (St Thomas & St Martins)
Mexico - basically a quick trip across the border when in America - Rosalita Beach and shopping in Tiajuana (Tiajuana is horrible)
NZ - work for an NZ company, have been there so many times, but I still love the place

Domestic -
Brisbane
Gold Coast
Central Coast
Sth Coast
Canberra
Done the Great Ocean Rd
Adelaide
Port Augusta (SA)
and lots of little towns in between Sydney and Port Augusta. My grandparents used to live there and every year we did the family road trip. Once followed the coastline from Syd all the way to Port Augusta - it took 5 days.
But I saw so much as a kid doing all those road trips, it was awesome - things like a travelling circus where the elephants were pulling all the trailers, stopping to let a farmer get his sheep across the road in the middle of nowehere. He was on horseback and there were thousands of sheep, we were totally lost in a sea of sheep. Driving through a locust plaugue, stopping to let an echidna cross the road etc etc the list is endless.

Upcoming trips -
USA again - visitng family and friends and a carribbean cruise with carnival
Europe - hopefully this will happen in 2005

In 1976 I hitchiked around Australia.
Hitchiking up the west coast is very difficult, as you would imagine. I got one lift on the back of a road train which only stopped for about 20 minutes in 23 hours. I sat on the spare wheel between some railway sleepers and a caravan that was being shipped to Darwin. At night I tied myself down with a rope so I didn't get bounced off in my sleep.

These days I keep going back to WA. If I could find work over there I'd probably move tomorrow.
