The guy is off contract & in talks with the Tigers according to news sources.
Did he only get 1 year with the Eagles?
I dont think they would be silly enough to let him go.
I think the Kid from Texas would make an excellent halves pairing with Dykesy for the Sharks

Manly will announce they have re-signed him for 4 years in the next few weeks. Yeah, as you said. They couldn't possibly be stupid enough to let this young guy go, and luckily enough, they werent.

He would have stayed if the Sharks would have offered him more than $5000 for season 2006.
Probably a bit too tough & aggressive for the Sharks, we couldn't have "mongrel" in our team, let alone in our backline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sharks wan't sign him seeing as Kimmorley is still here.

The end to the kimmorley era draws near, & talent like Travis burns cant be ignored.
We cannot win a GF without the likes of a Prince, Burns, Holdsworth etc.

Frenzy.

He left a couple of years ago didn't he?

You must mean 2005?

Because it's true.

He'd be in the top 5 of our worst wingers in Clubs history.

1. Eion Crosson
2. Jared Anderson
3. David Harris
4. Loloa Milford
5. Luke Covell

The fact that Covell is the ( I think ) 3rd highest pointscorer this year in the NRL is obviously lost on you.

You must not have seen old Matt "butterfingers" Reick play.

Covell may not be the flashiest player around, but he gets the job done.

And how can you possibly have him as being worse than Nick Youngquest? Remember him?

He's caught 5 balls and fallen over the line.
Kicking percentage was 69% going into Warriors game.
He single handedly cost us the Broncos game.
Constantly gets caught off his wing.
Positional play is crap.
Gets run down when in the clear ( By forwards!!)
Drops cross field kicks consistently.
Forgets he can't run and tries to out pace the opposition winger in his own quarter and gets shown the sideline.

But at least he still turns up each week........

You must not have seen old Matt "butterfingers" Reick play.

His last year was shocking but he was initially quite good for us and definately not comparable to the listed.

Would Covell get picked in the team if he couldn't goal kick?
