You've put games in a large stadium in Brisbane but a smaller one in Sydney. Why do you think the crowd in Brissy will be larger than Sydney?

SCG is a horrible place for a game. Wrong size field.. it's a cricket field. bad views, players are millions of miles away etc etc etc ... keep that for the oldies who think about the good old days.

Games in Sydney should be telstra stadium or SFS.

A game involving PNG in Canberra would be good also.

You didn't read what I had in the other thread.

Sydney get two games. If they only had one, I'd consider a bigger stadium. But since they get two and Brisbane one, there are less chances to get tickets in Brisbane, hence a bigger ground.

Also I think it is unrealistic to give a normal match to Telstra Stadium at this stage. And Suncorp is the only plausible venue in Brisbane.

As for the SCG, I explained on the other post that such a nostalgia gimmick as this would help get the crowds in. It's not the best venue but people will go because of the whole "blast from the past" thing.

For PNG I gave one game to Townsville (its success with PNG matches in the past), one to North Harbour (a small ground in RL territory looks better than a big ground somewhere else) and one for the Gold Coast (to compensate for the lack of Tri-Nations games in South Qld.

The only problem I have with a final is if a team loses twice to the same team in the table but wins the final. This could theoretically happen this year with GB vs Aus.

I think to it should be home and away annually but split into two rounds. The first round would take place mid season down under.the superlaegue would have to be suspended for 3 weeks with the lions playing a warm up game against PNG in Townsville before playing Australia in Brisbane then NZ in Wellington. The Kiwis would then head to Aus to play the Roos in Sydney. Then after the grand final the return leg would see Aus v NZ in Auckland then the Lions in Manchester follwed by NZ v GB in Leeds with a final some where in Northern England.

It's to make sure that the tournament isn't over till the last match, like the Grand finals in both parts of the world.

GB better not have it next year..the TV coverage is shocking!! no sound and bloody hopeless pomms trying to call the game...this is a big shame for the Tri Nations

I'm desperate for it to be played in Oz and NZ next year, i want to see dry conditions. i'm sure if well planned and scheduled it would be massive

Carlnz.....we have to put up with those two fools for every......single.........league match on SKY!! It's so frustrating. Eddie's shite but Stevo is so bad he makes Hemmings almost bearable.

Listening to the SH commentators - a variety of different teams on 9 and Fox - is music to a European leaguie's ears, I can tell you, and when I read you lot complaining about Rabs and co it really gets to me!

Anyway, well done GB on a good win, even though I do feel a little sorry for NZ.

No in the first half we had no comentry for the first 10 mins then two fools jumped on and talk utter shit then we lost the sound in the back ground...

We are meant to promote the game then we have this type of crap happening when other nations are watching it!!

I have been whating league for 15 years and this is the first time I have ever seen this before...and it was in a test match!! It ruined a great game..

Do you mean two fools as in the commentators or am I missing something? Was it two random fools i.e. a cock up with the feed and the audio?

I'd much prefer a "real" home advantage Tri-Nations.

2 normal games each in Australia, NZ and GB... however I guess it would be expensive for teams to travel to GB...

The second best thing would be in Australia/NZ... if so - we must have a game in Melbourne.

i think a home advantage tri series would be too costly

id prefer to see the tri-series played in GB one year

then in aus/nz the next

its only fair to move it around each year

surely we could find enough grounds in Oz/NZ for 7 games of RL

If the Tri Nations is brough to Australia it will be a complete flop.

thats why aus and nz should share it

with a couple of games played in either country and perhaps the final being played in sydney or brisbane

the australian games should be shared around areas which odnt normally get test matches

eg, melbourne, canberra, perhaps even GC

I would depend on how it was marketed. Ideally it would be played in both NZ and Aus to help with getting crowds in.

thats right

and it would be great if games were played in areas which dont normally get big matches, eg

melbourne, Canberra, Gold Coast

with the final being played at somewhere like sydney or brisbane
