Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has named his squad to face Parramatta Eels in a trial game at Panthers Stadium on Saturday.

The Panthers will face Parramatta in Jersey Flegg, NSW Cup and NRL trial game fixtures, with the main game kicking off at 7.30pm.

I took no offence. Trial games mean nothing (covering my bases here just in case you flog us).

On Salmon, I don’t think we are expecting too much. Cant say I remember anything of him in his limited NRL games with you guys. He was a little underwhelming in our NSW Cup trial against Mounties iron Saturday night. He has a 1 year deal and unless we have a rather poor year with injuries I can’t see him playing NRL for us. Not death riding him, hope he does well but I just can’t see a game for him other than a diabolical year on the injury front.
