There has also been speculation you'd like Wayne Bennett on board. True or false?

Who wouldn't? Any coach needs cattle and I would not be confident Wayne would take this squad on. He is a master coach and a master at identifying talent. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear though and while coaching the likes of Kurt Gidley must be appealing to him, I am not sure he would be attracted to the current roster. Why take that on when you are a legend of the game whose legacy will be talked about for generations and you have your pick of nearly any club in the competition? Having said that, I think I could be very persuasive with him!

2 things.
1. Which Knights players are saying "is he talking about me?"
2. Another indictment on Bennet only coaching teams that have cap "flexibility".

As if Bennett of all people would work and answer to tinkler.

Well, i disagree. Bennett is not the man many think he is. He is out for himself make no mistake.
He has worked with Porky Morgan, the mining Dude that paid him under the table for years at the Broncs & the Raes, was involved with Canberra during "dubious" times with "diet" enhancements etc. etc
Tinkerbell is exactly the guy he would work with.

It is a clash waiting to happen imo. Imagine if they somehow missed the 8?

Bennett walked into a good dragons side and only had to add a few bits to make them a super team. The Knights would require a lot more than just Idris and Snowden. Souths he would have Burgess, Inglis, Boyd and Luke possibly. Not to mention Crowes wallet. I can't see him turning Souths away if he wants to leave the dragons and not go home.

Sharks V Knights Trial Team Announcement

23/02/2011 3:00:28 PM

New recruits Jeremy Smith and Wade Graham will make their highly-anticipated debut for the Sharks this Saturday night when they take to the field against Newcastle Knights.
Coach Shane Flanagan has named a 25-man squad to travel to Muswellbrook, with Smith ready after being rested for the side's first trial and Graham returning from a niggling hamstring injury.
"I'm pumped to play, it's been a good but long pre season and obviously having a hamstring injury and being in rehab for the past few weeks it has been a little bit annoying," Graham said.
"But it's good to be back training full time and I'm keen to play."
"The hamstring is feeling good, we had a good solid run today and we'll have another light hit out on Friday.
"I know Jez is looking forward to the match as well... I think all the new boys will bring something different to the table which is good for the team."
Captain Paul Gallen will also play his first game of the season after a solid 2010 saw him come away with a multitude of awards and representative honours. He was rested for the first trial match, but is fit and ready to wreak havoc this Saturday night.
