Surely the worst winger I've ever seen

Other than that, Parra have a fairly strong side. I've never rated Luke Burt though, I think he's useless.

I wont be going to the game but if I was, I'd be cheering for a Dykes shoulder dislocation.

This is from the sharks homepage. It says 21 players are going however there is no number 14. Does anyone know what's doing with that??

I rate Wise.
he's had his shocker & learnt big time.
smart enough to take an offer from parra & get out of Souths.
has size but a bit slow for wing.
Obvious what Smith is doing to his squad. I reckon he must have added damn near 200kg to the team. & more to come in the way of Cannings & Hindmarsh.

The Sharks squad is by far and away the strongest side named for the trial matches by any club. Interesting indeed but not surprising with a new coach. Be a good first up hit out seeing as many of your boys played a warm up of sorts on the weekend.

BTW the missing #14 wouldn't be Phil Bailey???

Wise helped us win against the drags in the finals in 2002. Rieck ran rings around him

I really like our team. Huge forwards and a kick ass backline. And the best thing is thats a good side without 3 internationals

Hulk: Who is missing from the Sharks team

Bailey and Vagana but who is the 3rd international?

unless you mean Wedgie who unless I'm mistaken hasn't played for Aust in a couple of years.

Stevo would have been picked in NSW but he got hurt. It is well known that Gus wanted him to be the old head in the forwards. But Kearns got the spot when Stevo went down and Kearns ended up on the tour in the same spot.

His still an international though...

I've always rated Luke Burt, he's a very damaging player. I can see him being one of Parramatta's best this year with a possible origin berth...

I hate the fact that Dean Bosnich keeps getting selected at hooker...I thought Gibbo or Sully would get a spot ahead of him...

No Hindmarsh? What's doing there?

I think he still has to serve a suspension. The 7s didn't count but he still had to miss it - or something like that

Hindmarsh was suspened for 1 game folowing the Eels rnd 26 game v Penrith.

This match is the one that he'll serve his suspension in even tho he was also forced to miss the 7's.

Hindmarsh, Cannings, Muckert, Pearson, Petersen, Witt, Graham and Widders are the biggest names missing from that side that would be in 1st grade on a regular basis.

Is Shayne Hayne the ref :D

Ahh memories
I gave him an absolute pasting from my seat in bay 35 or 36 in that game
It was a deadset carve-up

Same with Willie Peters, who was defending on the wing
"Craig Coleman said you'd be the next Sterlo...well at least you've got the nose for it!"
