Surprised with no Taylan May.
He'll no doubt get a run next week (unless injured), but thought this week was a lock too.

No doubt he is. But other guys in the same situation are playing here: Staines, Tago, Kenny, Smith, Hopgood etc.

That's my read too. Big call in my eyes.

We only saw 80mins of him in the top grade last year, and while he ate some metres, he also bombed 2 tries.

Thought the brains trust would have wanted to see as much of him as possible before Rnd1.

I forgot he had the boxing bout. Throw in possibly getting Covid with the others and he might not be ready to play

I thought our squad was weak look at that cronulla squad dear o dear.I know it's just a trial match and u don't take too much out of it but we should put the cleaners through them.

I am intrigued by this, he could end up a matterson type if they are serious about it. There is a backrow bench spot available and he would cover the centres in case of an injury which solves one problem we have with the bench. Will be keen to see if he can handle the tough stuff.

Salmon and Tago surely do a switch. If not it does put Salmon in a great position to get the 14 jersey
