Does anyone know if the CoE has a proper footy field?

Before rugby went well and truly professional Concord Oval was one of the grounds used in the 1st rugby World Cup.

NSW Waratahs also used it as a home ground for a period. The good thing about Concord v Leichhardt is the fact it’s not a long walk from Burwood train station.

Im very encouraged by it. Our defence is very solid looking despite the heat.
Our forward pack is GOING FORWARD!!!! Im liking the enthusiasm from Klemmer a lot....we got the better end of this swap from Newcastle. Our two centres are extremely encouraging.
There are a few rough diamonds in this team that are starting to shine.
The only negative is our halves play. VERY disappointed by Wakeham and just don't rate Douheui.

Overall, Im a happy man.

Encouraging signs. What I like is it seemed we were consistently winning the first contact. Some of the fringeys Like Talau and Topou doing well.

I hope we see Laurie in the halfs now and see how this Bula goes

It’s only a trial, bla bla bla, but to beat the team that has it all over the Tigers for what seems a dozen years is a great result.

First 2 games of the season at the 8th wonder will, should be a great start.

So many players I thought needed to step up this season and they all did. We have two very good centers. Something I did not imagine saying this season. Our up and coming forwards were great. Tremendous effort for the entire 80 mins. God it's been a while since I said that.
Sheens has brought in some good plays and attitude. I am really confident Benji will do a good job as head coach when he gets the chance.
I really had no idea at any stage last year that I would feel so good about our future.

The first half was a pretty solid game and even though the raiders won’t play that poorly again this year, and the last 30 mins were barely watchable, the tigers would have lost to that performance last year. Things are looking up

Defence was great.

I thought Dooee answered his critics well.

Certainly not getting carried away, but we still have some big guns to come back and it looks like a good year coming.
