I just don't see what everyone else is seeing in Asu Kepaoa. He has a big heart and offers utility value but that's it imo.
Justin Matamua should be in the run on side instead.
Solomona Faataape looked great and deserves more minutes.
Imo, in the first trial you give as many players who may get a gig during the year a run to give them a taste of the NRL but in the second it should be our round 2 best 17. We have a first rd bye that makes thing worse as far as this is concerned.
I doubt these guys will play in rd2 of the NRL so why are they playing in the 2nd trial?

This could be a defining moment for Benji as getting off to a good start to the season is so important.
What were we last year, 0-5 or something like that.
Blink and the season is gone.

Good to see Heath Mason get a run, good little player, watched him growing up, only 19 this year has come along well. Might surprise a few over the next couple of years, can kick a goal too!

Young Willett...anyone know if his dad or maybe uncle might be Andrew Willett who played for Souths briefly in the early 90's?

Unsure... Andrew was born in NSW but where exactly I don't know so trying to get a link there is zilch.
Andrew was a respected player and his mate included Mark Carrol, Mario Fenech, Craig Coleman, Phil Blake, Bruce Longbottom, Wayne Chisholms, Les Davidson....what a great bunch, what an era.

Thanks mate...was curious as I knew Andrew when he came over from Union.... James Grant ( when he played for the Tigers) convinced him to give league a go.

I read the stats of previous H2H of the Roosters v Rabbitohs trial games and got a bit excited to watch some footy.... well what I didnt realize that both teams had no NRL players..well maybe 1 or 2.
I know the teams are decimated by boys going to Vegas and the Panthers going to the UK but the preseason challenge is a so called comp with $100,000 prize money.
In previous years you could gamble on the game but I'm unsure if that's still the case.
You get two teams like the Warriors and the Tigers field majority NRL players and give it a real go and try to get a bonus point only to see other sides field majority KOE or development players and have 50pts put on them.
I'm probably whinging over petty stuff and may have my facts wrong but this isn't a comp to me, just a hit out.

Where are we watching the trial?
What are you most looking forward to?
For me Solomon Alaimalo but I think he won't get many minutes.
Justin Olam maybe?

Looking to see if Sezer can continue on from last week and steer us around.

Looking to see which of our backs can do the grunt work and consistently get us out of our end. Probably Olam but he needs help

hopefully one of our young forwards press for a first grade spot to give us some back up

and finally looking forward to seeing Galvin to see what all the hype is about

Unfortunately UHD has just dropped off Foxtel's telecast..pissed off. HD still ok though.
What's going on with Justin Matamua, surely he's injured because he's part of the big picture.

There were some assholes in here picking us for the 8 because of our good off-season. As I've said.....our issues are not going to end over an off season. This rebuild will take time.
