Id like to see more of Trindall where he played last night.
He had his best creative game in the top grade.
Why, because he didnt have the pressure to be creative. He just had to tackle amd hit it up.
And that he did. In spades.
He had a ball taking the line on and this built confidence which got him kicking.
That might be his spot.
Put Tracey at 7. The kamikaze kid. He dont give a f**k about pressure. All he wants to do is rip and tear.
The years gone.
Trindall and Tracey definitely look suited to the faster game and need to be in and around the play. An organising half/hooker is what's missing to let those two loose.. the squad's just a bit unbalanced. Panthers are the model for what works in this new version of the modern game, and Trindall/Tracey are good examples of people who can fit the mould for sure.. the problem is finding someone like Cleary who can steady the ship and kick well, go with the flow when needed, but can set the pace. Johnson was awful last week, but of all the options who are off-contract I think it's possible for him to play that role.
Fitzgibbon has a challenge on his hands, but if he's all he's cracked up to be, then he'll have to get creative with positional play. No one has ANY idea what kind of coach he is, but he's not going to be able to assemble the squad he wants so will have to learn to construct sides like Bellamy.
I think what he does with McInnes is probably key, and if anything, of all the options we have on board, I like McInnes at 9, Trindall at 13, Johnson at 7, Tracey at 6, Kennedy at 1, more than the other shit that's on the table. I honestly don't know where Brailey fits into that side...maybe as the 14 with Trindall/McInnes to move around the squad to accommodate.
