Anti Spaz bagging Bevans sr i wonder what he thinks of the like of Haynes and Greenidges in the early 60's. They were considered great day players of their time. It was a totally different era, same as Bevans he faced much better bowling, smaller bats and larger grounds. but go on keep bagging an all time ODI great.

Bevan was great in a crisis, great chasing in that era - things a bit different now - Chris Harris was a poor man's Bevan (albeit decidedly more useful as a bowler and fielder)

Hussey is the man though to bat 5-6...

Of course nobody compares to Viv... and of the Australians I think people forget a bit about how good Dean Jones was

Viv is great.

AB De Villiers is the man to bat 5... Or better yet, put him at 3, Viv at 4. Or Vice Versa.

And put Maxwell and Anderson at 5 and 6.

Heck squeeze Kohli into the top with AB keeping, and Maxwell and Anderson play 6 and 7. Faulkner at 8. And drop Watto.

Viv is the greatest ODI player there's been - he's #3 no debating it really

The game's changed so much it's hard to judge some others

Who is Anderson?

Who is Anderson?

Corey. Averages 35 at SR 123.

36 ball 100.

50 in a WC semi final against SA.

Can hold a bat in ODI's I hear.

Not bad for an all rounder. Goes for runs, but averages 24 with the ball. More than makes up for it with his batting.

Viv played the game the way its played now, then.

His record lets all the former players know that they played it wrong.

Martin Crowe S/R = 72.63 - pathetic

Give me 11 Bevans over 11 Crowes anytime

Totally agree.

Crowe barely makes the ATG NZ ODI team, despite 1992 World Cup.

No way he makes an Australasian one. Absolutely no way.

Now that is off your chest, next argument?

Lol at Bevan getting off 18 from 22 balls to finish the innings. One third of his innings were not outs and his SR was 74.

Give me Glen Maxwell or Shane Watson or Andrew Symonds or Mike Hussey any day over Bevan. Even Faulkner. Yes. Give me Jimmy Faulkner.

Watson over Bevan

LOLZ you've been to an early opener mate

It amazes people, mostly Australian, but Watto plays well in pyjamas. Its why India has paid him a FORTUNE in the past. They have more love for him than he gets at home.

Not signed at the moment. But he has cashed up previously.

He's another stats guru clown, yet doesn't even realise besides Viv up until the mid 90's anything close to the mid 70's was outstanding.

Oh the mid 90s? Jayasuriya and Kalu changed everything?

Try 1992 WC Greatbatch...

And M Waugh opening 91/92- 93. And Tendulkar before 95.

Anwar 1990.

And Viv vefore that.

Srikkanth tried in the 80s. Cairns batted 3 occaisonally in the 80s.

Shall I keep going?

Now mid 90 onwards - mostly Bevans time no?

Srikannth tried?? lol his sr was in the 60's and opening the innings i might add. Massive myth that bloke. Kalu and Jaysuria never really got going till the 1996 WC, yeah there were people here and there hat had a dash but none consistently so anything in the mid 70s up till then was outstanding. Viv was on a totally different level. But keep dribbling more shit i notice you didn't even touch my comment about Greenidge and Haynes sr being only in the 60's but were considered great ODI players of their time especially Haynes. Most of the shit you post belongs in here.
