My first international was Australia v West Indies at the Gabba in 1996.

I remember watching Mark Waugh hit a really nice century to help us set a big total, only then to watch Carl Hooper and Brian Lara each hit centuries and cruise to victory.

Lol at Bevan getting off 18 from 22 balls to finish the innings. One third of his innings were not outs and his SR was 74.

Give me Glen Maxwell or Shane Watson or Andrew Symonds or Mike Hussey any day over Bevan. Even Faulkner. Yes. Give me Jimmy Faulkner.

Bevan was a master of the chase. A ODI genius. Ahead of his time.

I'd probably take Hussey ahead of him. That's it, from the list you put out there. Symonds could have been a lot more if he could stay off the drink

This easily

Only Huss would be rated above Bevan for mine

Myth. He was dropped for a reason.

A team of Michael Bevan's scores 222 striking at 74.

He is an all time greatest myth.

That's disingenuous

No, its quite honest. Sooooo slow. Myth. Tell me more about his 18 off 22 to finish that innings. How many 6s? 0. 4s? 0. Myth.

Wickets in hand? 6.

Mythical Bevan.

Mark Waugh helped by Law set that innings up and Bevan misses the dunk. Myth. Helps the average, though. A nice lil not out.

Like you were dropped on your head as a child. He was dropped from test matches he was a walk up start in the Aussie ODI side for almost a decade and responsible for two WC wins.

Dropped from the odi team for being a myth.

Troll harder champ. Yet you probably spurted your load over the likes of Chris Harris and Roger Twose

SR of 74. Pathetic.

11 Michael Bevans batting = 222/4 on average

Good luck defending that.

Myth.

That is why he was dropped.

You're arguing against the former Australians selectors. I'm irrelevant.

Bevan was great in a crisis, great chasing in that era - things a bit different now - Chris Harris was a poor man's Bevan (albeit decidedly more useful as a bowler and fielder)

Hussey is the man though to bat 5-6...

Of course nobody compares to Viv... and of the Australians I think people forget a bit about how good Dean Jones was
