trouble on the horizon

I cannot think of a single time that a player that everybody (the NRL, the NSWRL and the QRL) agreed was ineligible to play Origin was somehow just allowed to play.

Sure I can think of players whos' eligibility has been contested (Luke Keary comes to mind), and I can think of countless players that one newspaper (3rd parties that have no real say in what happens or who's eligible for what) or another that have created BS click bait articles about how it was unfair for one player or another to be allowed to play origin, even though said player is/was eligible whether they liked it or not.

But I can't think of anytime that a player who was ineligible was just allowed to play because that's what the NSWRL or QRL want to happen.

There's a big difference between Uate and Radradra, namely Uate was eligible to play for NSW before the rules were changed and Radradra is not eligible to play for NSW and nor would he have been before the rules were changed to stop players like Uate from playing Origin.

You've got nothing mate, whoever told you this is simply full of it (though now I'm inclined to think that you made it up to "kick off the whole islander & origin debate again" , like you did with the Samoan players).

Lol yep..totally made it all up....mascord says hiya btw...

So what happens if a player grew up playing in say WA or Victoria and go to play for the Storm?

Are they allowed to play SOO. If so which state would it be?

They aren't allowed to play for nsw or qld. Hopefully they start introducing some wa v vic origin games as curtain raisers!

Well you did admit to exaggerating the truth about the Samoan players.

And besides Mascord probably got the rumor from the same place as you or your "source", off the internet. Hell he might have even read it here and thought that would make click bait.

Back when every player manger with a player coming off contract was using us to boost their asking price, some people on the Greenhouse started making up 'rumors' about players being linked to club and then within a week it was in the newspapers that said player was 'offered a lucrative contract at the Raiders" despite their managers having never spoken to Ricky or had already been told that we absolutely aren't interested by Ricky.
Even a couple of players that people on the Greenhouse were saying they'd like the Raiders to pickup, not starting a fake rumor just discussing the player, started to popup in the news as having been offered contracts, only for it to later turned out that they'd never been offered a contract or in some cases even been in contact with the Raiders.

After seeing just how easy it was to manipulate the RL media it wouldn't surprise me if a similar thing happened here.

Maybe introduce an ACT team to play against developing states.

We could field a pretty fearsome team if given the opportunity, but due to population restraints we'll probably never be able to produce a team that could regularly compete with NSW and QLD (let alone beat them), but we would be able to field teams that would initially be of a higher quality then WA and VIC that would serve as a good learning gap for them until they're ready to play against NSW and QLD.

We make a good set of training wheels for developing states, NSW stops leaching off our talent and people from the ACT get their own representation in SOO, It's a win-win.
