I get we need to replace Hunt but I think we need a ball running 6 over a 7 at this point in time just shift Kyle to 7.

That would be the shape of things at present, I agree.

Kyle is a good “inside the box” player. He can be opportunistic when the focus is on other players when we are attacking, but he can’t be the focal point of the attack as he’s simply not a playmaker. Excellent organiser. Excellent competitor. Very good defender. Nice kicking game. Team first.

He’s our 7 at the moment and, as you said, we need to compliment him with a dynamic 6 at present.

o Prop: There is no doubting we have been chasing atleast 1 middle.. dunno what odds we would have of May.. but he would tick the boxes.. I think we were chasing Hetherington also who might be back on the market if Hunt goes there.. but yeah I dont see too many choices other than Lodge if he still wants to play NRL.

o Halfback: I think we are going after a few halfbacks because we cant afford to focus on 1 and miss out (were gonna need a club to release them).. we cant afford to miss on the halfback front (signing gutho wont hurt this chase imo).

o Ramseys Replacement: As for Douehi im curious what were doing there.. it is possible we might chase 2 of Croft/Ilias/Atko and not need him.. but Douehi is also a legit centre.. rly I'd to get all 3 of em.. but we probably need another slot yet.. and not sure on if we could afford them all anyway.

I could be wrong but I just don't see it...

But if Flanagan tells Rava that he wants him to play in the forwards in 2025 and he gives it a shot but finds the going too tough, that could open the door for Rava to request a release.

We have a very different backline for 2025 most importantly we have a real organising general in the number 1 jersey.

Put Rava on the right wing in the trials and tell him this is make or break

He scored 20+ tries in 2022 so obviously he has some ability and no doubt our defence will be much better organised from the back than the last 3 or so years.

Many games last year and the year before there was indecision between Rava & Sloan who was too busy dithering and hesitating but that just will not happen with Gutherson giving firm directions.

Hunts lack of leadership caused plenty of uncertainty well that is now behind us so let Gutherson do his job and if Rava doesn’t cut it then cut him.
