Hey All:
Well an exciting weekend as the playoffs got under
way. We saw one half blind offensive lineman cost the
Ravens a win. We saw a loud mouth boast he was going
to scorgrue a game-winning td, then he threw a
game-winning td pass to a player on the OTHER team.
And then we saw a kicker literally kick the shit out
of the Cowboys, while the Colts just exploited a
denver secondary with more holes than the latest
Windows OS upgrade. Anyway another day another
weekend, more playoffs, I went 2-2 on picks AND JUSTLY
SO!!! Here goes:
Green Bay @ Philadelphia: Guess I'll get the hard one
out of the way first. The Packers fought valiantly
the last time these two played at Lambeau Field and
almost got the win. A late McNabb rally spared the
Eagles that evening, but this game could be another
shootout equally as thrilling. Expect this thing to
come down to the kickers at the end. I think this
sounds like an Longwell job, Much to my belief!in my lads.
Packers are on the march to the promise land. And to
Houston for the big one I can feel it.
Final Score 27-24 Green Bay.
Carolina @ St. Louis: The Panthers rarely put
together consistent performances two weeks in a row,
but this is a situation where I think they tie up the
secondary and put it on the front 4 to penetrate and
help stop Marshall Faulk. Problem is you don't stop
Marshall Faulk in the playoffs, this will blow up on
the Panthers, and despite a remarkable turn around
season for them, the dream dies on the Mississippi
River. Rams and Packers NFC Championship, should be
a great game.
Final Score 23-13 St. Louis.
Tennessee @ New England: Patriots offense isn't as
great a machine as they appear to be. They are the
beneficiary of good field position turned in by their
defense. Granted New England has the best record in
the NFL vs. the toughest NFL schedule. But the Titans
will arrest the ground game and get pressure on Brady
forcing him to try to make plays into the teeth of an
opportunistic secondary. This should be remarkably
close, but in the end I like the Patriots.
Final Score 16-13 New England.
Indianapolis @ Kansas City: Chiefs have their work
cut out for them. Vermiel has to have these guys
ready to arrest the ground game, I don't know if this
is a case where seeing Priest Holmes in practice just
makes them give up on the field or what. But some
effort is required if the Chiefs are to pull out a
playoff game, I for one know they will. Vermiel will
have these guys ready.
SHOOTOUT GREEN VS MANNING, Green wins.
Final Score 37-28 Kansas City.

New England @ Kansas City<AFC
