Dexter is my favourite show right now. The early seasons are great, but season 4 was just incredible. John Lithgow's recurring guest star role was top shelf.

I recommend anyone to watch it the series in its entirety

Oh yeh ive been a hugggge dexter fan since season 1. ive re-watched the first 3 series atleast twice...cant wait for season 5 !!!

A truly great series was Homicide- life on the streets, definately one to own on DVD.

Andre Braugher was a tour-de-force.

Check out The Wire, if you haven't already.

David Simon, the creator of the wire, wrote the book which Homicide is based on.

Arrested Development is my fave by far. I have watched the series 6-7 times now, every time I watch it I pick up more and more subtle jokes. Absolute tragedy it was ever cancelled.

If people out there watch it for the first time, give it a chance. The first few episodes leave you thinking 'what the hell is the hype about this show' but once you get to into about the 4th and 5th episode, you will be hooked. GOB and Tobias are 2 of the funniest characters in TV IMO.

same here. i think the big downfall of the show is you have to actually watch it to appreciate it. shows like everybody loves raymond you can be washing the dishes or having a conversation while watching it and still get the gist of whats going on. i think it is the subtleties of AD that were its down fall.... but also the reason it got so much critical acclaim, and why everyone who actually sits down and watches it quickly promotes it to being their fav show

I've recently gotten into 'Community' and it's another show I'd definitely recommend. Chevy Chase, Trudy from Mad Men and Joel McHale (dude from the E! show 'The Soup') are in it, along with a host of comedians who you've probably seen in a few other things. However the best part of the show is no doubt the character Abed.

I think it's on 9's digital channel; give it a look.

Hung is an enjoyable show. Plus it has the best opening music of any show on tv- Black Keys. Even the wife likes it which is odd, we usually hate each other's shows.

Season 6 of it was gold wasnt it, Elana etc.

Crack up at Jeremy getting cracked in the nuts.
Big Suz - oh he didnt deserve that
Mark - well, it was for the wrong reasons but on the balance of things he probably had it coming.

David Mitchell is hilarious

+ 1! I had a thread on this show a while ago, not many bites, but it is a classic.

If you can get past the notion of vampyres and the horribly bad southern us accents, it is a pretty good show. There is enough titties to tide you over if your forced to watch it anyway....
