Twiggy the 2nd richest person in Australia net worth 33 billion.
1.2 million a season the richest sponsor in rugby league history.
Twiggy Billion Dollar Dragons hopefully he buys out the Gordons and then we can call him our Uncle Twiggy .
2025 Walker 1.4 million a season signing would be nice early Xmas present to Dragons fans .

I don't think Twiggy has any interest in purchasing any of the Dragons franchise. He just wants us to advertise his Squadron Energy business by being our major sponsor, nothing more and nothing less. In any case, Walker's playing career will be at the Roosters for a long time in my opinion.

The renewable energy sector is developing, but there remains uncertainty on how Hydrogen will play a a part, and even wind farms acceptance is not clear.

Twiggy's company squadron has obviously outlined some massive plans, and the Illawarra region sits key in different roles, and for this reason Squadron has decided to back one of the biggest sporting brands in the country.

What remains completely uncertain is what is Twiggy's interest? Is it purely marketing and thus financial? or does he become a lover of the game and a true, from the heart backer of the Dragons? I'm guessing that it will land closer to the first, but hoping for it to push towards the later. Either way, in this age (post smoking and alcohol ) of gambling companies, fast food, etc. it's a sponsor I am very glad to have on board and hope it is a long term association that becomes a passion for the sponsors.

I hope that with Twiggy's sponsorship of the Dragons that he at least attends a couple of the games not like the part owner we have in the name of Bruce Almighty.

I am glad Saints gave a big sponsor but hydrogen can never be part of some genuine "renewable" future for some very basic reasons.
1. It is not an energy source. It is just a way of storing energy.
2. 98% of hydrogen is produced from hydrocarbon fuels, coal and gas mostly.
3. 30% of the energy in the hydrocarbons is lost in the process of making hydrogen
4. Bcs hydrogen is the smallest of all the elements, it is very difficult to store and transport. It has to be kept at very low temps and pressures which is not only energy expensive, it produces the Hydrogen Embrittlement problem where the metals for storing and transporting it develop cracks.

Obviously, Twiggy and his executives know all this, so what are they up to? How will they make money? Same way Musk does: taxpayer subsidies, different (preferential) rules for hydrogen vehicles compared with conventional vehicles, and selling carbon credits.

On the positive side, I hope he is a generous sponsor for our team.

I think that if the Dragons do in fact become a finals footy feature on a regular basis then Twiggy might just have a Twinkle in his eye knowing that he is part of our "resurgence". The opposite I would imagine if we flounder like in the deepest waters outside off the coast of Wollongong.

From memory Twiggy ( the mogel not the supermodel ) kept the Western Force going for no other reason than he saw an injustice done. Again, from memory he fought hard in court to get them on the field. We need more of this. And hats off to Chris Okeefe for being such a tragic fan to bring up the chance to sponsor the Dragons in an interview. The only good thing 2GB has done for humanity since they weee owned by Madam Blatsky and the theosophical society

You make a good point Dave.

Will we see Twig on game day being seen, in the dressing room decked out in the Red V gear or rubbing shoulder with commoners. Ala Rusty.
