The new Cat Empire album... what a blast. A breath of fresh air like the original CD.

The guys went over to Cuba and recorded it all live in the studio and it came out beautifully. So rich with texture, dripping with fun and good humour.

Highlights? I'm a big fan of The Car Song, Two Shoes and Party Started. Fans of Latin music will also get a kick out of their effort as salsa, with Sol Y Sombra.

Great stuff. Four thumbs up.

Yeah i'm a huge fan, went out and bought it first thing sunday morning along with the new Michael Franti cd (which i'm very disappointed with btw). Saw them at the Tivoli on Saturday night too. If you are a fan of the cat, go and see them live. will deadset blow you away. The only downer of the concert was the fact they brought Kate Cebrano out to do a song with them. That woman is geniused i tell you.

I didn't mind their first cd, it definately had its moments.

Two Shoes however is a big step forward for them musically. It's a very good CD. It will be one of Australia's top albums for 2005.
