Open carry actually requires no permit in some states, and it's actually NOT that bad, as you can know who has a gun. Most often, when people are open carrying, it's just a gun holstered in their belt which you can clearly see. The biggest concern, at least what I believe is concealed carry. You don't know who has a gun.

In all honesty, the states are a great place and I'd encourage you to sill visit it. Several states have no open carry laws, so you'll be sweet.
No, the fact that they have guns and a need to display it makes them a concern to me. That is genuinely scary. And a great reason not to visit there (despite the fact there are so many cultures and locations that are so different to ours, unlike the USA).

Insanity? Yes, but these are people that clearly think the government and every act is one big conspiracy.

I've got female company, I'm plenty "relaxed".

Pisstake? No. Stupid? Yes. These people seriously believe such events can be staged, planned and so forth and think those that don't believe in their crazy theories are "blind sheep". This is a website that has articles on so many key events and how they think every event is a conspiracy.

It's a pisstake...

I believe their tone and phrasing clearly identifies it as a poor attempt at humour (undoubtedly a satirical attempt, but poor nevethekess).

"Here, you can clearly see <insert observation>, and it means <insert conspiracy theory>," is a phrase they use often thoughout the article, and it's always an observation that, despite their assertions to the contrary, is far from obvious and even perhaps outlandish.

If someone tells you that Obama is a lizard, and it's obvious he is because his left arse cheek is a Communist, then I think it's safe to say that piss is being taken.

Mollies > heroin.

Thank you, sir.

Just use a GIF creator on the internet. Upload all three images and it will make one for you.

Haha good on you, matey. I'm a tool.

In truth, your spelling wasn't that bad - I had just seen Facebook statuses filled with "percy", "purr see" and "par thee", and I thought you myself, "You're posting on Facebook - ergo, you have access to the Internet. Why don't you look it up if you're unsure of the correct spelling? "

I'm not defending their incredibly loose gun laws, I don't believe their system is perfect (Nor is ours, as I've always wanted a shotgun for skeet/target shooting and it's near impossible to get one back in Aus). But it's actually not that scary being over here and seeing them. Heck, one guy I know leaves guns on the table in his house and you can walk in at any given time and he'll be cleaning them, showing off his toys etc. It's just an adapted culture over here for some people. I still find it crazy, but they think we're the crazy ones for not having them.

Best comment I've heard, "What are you going to do if biological zombies ever become real? What guns will you have to defend yourself?"

Dude, it's pretty clear its a pisstake.

just like this mob

Looking at it now - yes. But when I first read it. I didn't see it as such.

It's a pisstake...

Read above. I see the point now.

Tool? Nah. I was actually thankful for being corrected on that one. Never knew it was spelt such way. I usually try and take care when I type posts/on Facebook. But I still do make mistakes. I just get annoyed at people who can't get - their, they're and so forth. My cousins do it and they're teachers - you'd think they of all people would know better.

That's because the police know you are a member of the Taliban...

It isn't hard in Australia to get a shotgun for skeet/clay shooting. All you need is a category A & B licence.

Calling it near impossible is an overstatement, the only issue you'd have is if you have a record and hence cant get your licence.

Really? I'll have to do it when I get back home (Whenever that is).

Record? I hope I don't have one. But I have been in trouble in the past.

I never even noticed the guns when I was in the US, beyond being aware of their presence. When you've strolled around countries where soldiers routinely wander the streets with automatic rifles slung over their shoulders, a pistol at some yokel's hip doesn't phase you so much.

I think deciding not to travel to America because of their gun laws would be an over-reaction.

If I was to let the fear of how other people may potentially misuse their toys dictate my decisions, i'm not sure id drive on any public road ever again.

Like the idiot in France who ran into a shopping mall and mowed down a heap of people, then got out of the van and stabbed himself multiple times in front of everyone till he dies.

Wtf did he expect to achieve by doing that ?

Its very Monty Pythonesque

If you had to give up one of your senses (leaving all others completely intact, regardless of any crossover - such as with smell & taste): which would you give up?
