I deleted all my lost prophets songs from iTunes. My library has no place for it. Also on the verge of deleting all my as I lay dying songs for what their lead singer did. (Hired a hitman to kill his wife)
I think what Watkins did, pretty much puts me in a similar boat, Drew. I bet it hits home a little more for you having a bub of similar age to some of his victims.
I haven't had anything come up on shuffle yet, but I'd probably skip it.
Do the rest of the band deserve that though? I.guess it's a personal choice at the end of the day...
Funeral For a Friend are the better welsh band anyway

It's a personal choice. As I see it, every time I heard the music I'd be reminded of the crimes of one of the people who made it.
Everyone does lousy things at some point in their lives, but Ian Watkins and co.... there's no redemption for that.
Yeah, I look at my kid who smiles at me and then I think about what he did and it makes me... well, I can understand murderous rages now. I'm sure SMBN and others feel the same way.
So what is todays topic of discussion?
Question for discussion. One of my favourite bands for a number of years was LostProphets; a Welsh alt band.
Their lead singer, Ian Watkins, was charged and found guilty of some pretty horrendous pedophilia.
Now, I haven't gotten rid of their CD's I own. I've still got them, but up until the other day I had not listened to their music. On Sunday I cracked their CD for the first time, but felt a little... uneasy.
So my dilemma is - does the actions of Watkins disqualify his music from being played, or is it ok to listen to it despite his involvement?
Oh, I am 100% on board with coming over there to wreak havoc at some point. My former skinny dipping coach is there and she's been promising to set me up with her Montanan friends since she got engaged and went off the market.
This thread will be judged purely on it's ability to be a BF-free zone.
Residents rep teams are just that, residents. I'm sure there are many examples going back in time of blues going through feeder clubs in the qld cup getting selected for the residents side and vice versa
Wooooo.
To late. He crashed it in the posts above. Mis, purge the thread!
That's in QLD!
If someone from one of my favourite bands raped 1000 women and killed 1000 babies all whilst listening to the entire Nickleback discography, I'd still listen to their music every day.
I'm not sure how enjoying their music is encouraging or supporting them in their cause to be a merkin.
it's not encouraging them, per se, but is celebrating their work..
and for me, if someone's moral fibre is that corrupt, then i can't possibly celebrate anything else they do..
every note would be a reminder of the bad stuff they've done..
Would you walk out of a film if they used their music in it? Paul Francis Gadd's music is in movies like The full Monty.it's not encouraging them, per se, but is celebrating their work..
