To be fair, Australia was facing a furious and still very capable Spanish team.

Without Cahill.

People need to remember that. It's like Australia vs PNG in league.

I actually think we missed Bresciano's influence out there more than Cahill's finishing. The midfield struggled to string passes together or hold up the ball.

Yes, but he began the movie alive in the original timeline. That's the bit I couldn't figure. Forgot the post-credits scene in Last Stand.

I think they made it pretty clear during Days of Future Past that they wanted to take a big, steaming dump on Brett Ratner's abortion of a film.

Bresh was a huge loss. In the Croatia game we looked like two different sides when he came onto the field.

Bresciano is going to be harder to replace than Cahill. Not to disrespect Cahill at all, as he's been our one consistent outlet in the post Viduka/Kewell years, but a striker can be replaced or a strategy altered to suit a different strike set-up.

It's going to be much harder to replace a guy of Bresciano's caliber. He's the last of a golden midfield generation that boasted the likes of Kewell, Grella, and (ironically) Cahill.

I concur. The minutes that Bresh wasn't on the field we looked impotent in attack with the exception of Leckie, who has come on in leaps and bounds. Hopefully somebody like Rogic can kick on like he has.

Agreed, Leckie was a real stand out. Once he learns what to do with the ball once he weaves and dodges his way into the box with it, he'll be a star.

tommy oar needs to work out how to have his legs and his brain going at the same speed

Agreed. I thought Oar and Wilkinson were among our most consistently disappointing. Oar looked clueless with the ball, and Wilkinson was involved in 7 of our 9 goals conceded.

did scott McDonald just fall of the face of the earth?

He couldn't convert his Celtic fan into anything usable by us, and he's now languishing in the English Championship.

He's more a victim of not being the right kind of striker for the way we previously played. Not sure if Ange sees potential in him, or if he's too old for his liking.

He's dogshit. Was useless for Millwall last term. I can honestly say he's lucky to still be at that level. More suited to League 1 these days.

Internet here has been a joke the last 2-3 days. Even a site like LU (low on graphics and not blocked by the firewall) only loads half of the time.

Ask the school and they look confused, like it isn't a problem in the office and the computer labs.

Get me the f**k out of this country.

Here's one to get conversation started:

If you had to be born in a culture other than your own, which would you most like to have been born in?

You can play it safe and pick another western, Anglo culture if you so desire.

It's going to be a controversial one with some, but I know D10 will understand where I'm coming from.

I have a lot of problems with their foreign policy, gun laws, and their welfare setup, but I've always wanted to experience life growing up in America.

Growing up with little league or peewee hockey, attending 4th of July BBQs, pep rallies, Thanksgiving parades etc just strike me as something I'd have loved as a kid.
