This morning on the Footy Show.

Its great to hear comments like that from arguably the best player in the history of the game.

People who obviously have some idea about football know that we have a great coaching staff.

Others....well.......

Go the Tigers

MAybe joey had been firing up last night and had a pinger ? You tell everyone they are great and that you love em

Were they well coached last yr when they won 2 from 7
Or when his petulant grandstanding had jeffrey on his arse for 80
Or when his side threw away a 12 point lead with 8 left

Shall i go on ?

Just repeating what Andrew Johns said but maybe you know more.

Whatever way you look at it Sheens is a much better coach than most in the game.

But I suppose it doesn't take much to bag someone.

What about picking a 63yo Jason moodie ahead of chris lawrence for the first 6 wks last season (4 of which we lost on the bounce) ?

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
What about a coach who complains of lack of go forward
The same coach who lets a prop go to melbourne and he's a constant in a team that sh*ts a comp in
What about a coach who says john morris is our cooper cronk ?

What bout not taking a groggy Hodgson off when you have a FREE interchange. Could've cost us the game....

Who do you support? Definetly not the Tigers because all i ever see is negative posts from you.

If you disaprove of everything the club does maybe it's time you found some new colours, it doesn't seem like it will be a major loss.

I`ve questioned a lot of decisions made by Sheens over the past 2 seasons. It doesn`t matter who you are, it`s virtually impossible to make all the right decisions, but one important factor that Sheens has done since he`s been at the club is keep all the best local junior talent that has come through.
Look at it this way, it`s only round 2 and there`s already rumours of friction within almost half of the teams in the comp, whilst the Wests Tigers are playing with the passion and spirit that led them to the title in `2005. Nothing brings more passion to a jersey than having a close knit group of players that have come through the grades and play the game with their heart on their sleeve !

Vicious all i am saying is that his record in recent times with us and with the cowboys has been by and large atrocious. He had a miraculous 16 weeks in 2005 but even in that year some of his decisions were laughable. Who remembers Ben Galea at 9 with Benji Reynolds as the interchange hooker

Does anyone here honestly believe that in 2007 we were not a better side than sh*t like brisbane without heather, f**king soufs, meat and potatoes manly, the cowboys etc. We didn't make the lowest 8 of all time and the coach has to bear the bulk of the responsibility - particularly with his empty threats to drop underperforming players

Pretty sad focussing on the last two years when as it stands the last two weeks we're 2/0....

Show me a perfect coach.

Spot on!

You can always bag a coach for a wrong call here and there and thats fine.

However, its obvious that people within League circles and more importantly the players know that Sheens is a coach you want to play well for.

Rarely, since Sheens has been there can you say the players don't give it there all.

The Wests Tigers don't do everything right but they do more than most other clubs, on and off the field.

Just because you disapprove with some of the way the club goes about its business doesn't mean you don't support the footy team.

Indeed, but 1) I wasn't refering to you and 2) i commented on the fact that EVERY post was a negative one involving whinges/complaints/criticisms etc. Where is the support for the team? Haven't seen one post yet which indicates anything except irritation and hatred from him. In a season that we have started 2-0 you'd think it would be easy to say something, no, anything positive!

Right so last year's abject surrender is forgotten and swept under the rug after 2 very very good wins in 2 very very hard circumstances. Put it this way, over the last 10 yrs Brian Smith has a better coaching record than Tim Sheens .. fact. He is given a torrid time in the media and who is given cushy treatment ?

How many Premierships has Smith won again? What playing talent did Smith have at his disposal again? Take your marquee player (the bloke who commands 1/8 of your total cap) out of ANY side and that team will struggle. Sheens won a Premierhsip with NO rep players, you like your stats so much go find the last team to do that.

FACT
Mate your like a boring broken record....46% blah blah blah

No rep players ?
Halatau
Benji
Prince
Hodgson
Fatz

Smith has qualified for 7 finals series since 1996 .. sheens 1
Smith has won in the region of 60% of games since 1996 ... sheens 38%

These are facts

Don't talk bullsh*t

Jeez, where do you get this crap from? I suppose sometimes its easier to reproduce the glib comments made by a footballer in a Tim Gilbert fluff piece rather than deal with facts. 'Yeah I've learnt a lot from Sheensy. The boys respect him and we aim to put in 110% for him and the fans.

If, as you say the team has been 'giving it their all', I suppose the capitulation last year and almost every other year during his tenure reveals a want of ability rather than commitment from the players? Last year we had one of the worst top 8's since 97 yet we failed to make the cut... A case of no talent, aye?

I don't mind Sheens yet I can't understand why he is given an easy ride by the media nor why we cannot hold him partially accountable for the miserable efforts over the past 2 seasons.
