I was just leafing through this week's Rugby League Week and it had a special on 5 up and coming youngsters who played for the NSW Residents before Game III. They were a Rooster, a Raider, a Dragon, a Bulldog and a Knight.

No Eels.

So I thought - who do you think is our best juniors?

Who do you think will make the most impact on our team in years to come?

- Jack Afamasaga
- Weller Hauraki
- Tim Smith
- Jarryd Hayne
- Feleti Mateo
- Blake GReen
- Brett Anderson

Are some of the better juniors

Feleti is only there wen he plays lock. His defense is a very big porblem. And Smith is a little to slow for a 1/2 but he can get the hjob done if his attitude it better than wat it is.

I also add nrl usually neglects our junior ranks even though the club championship has been ours for the last 7 years. Benji marshall looks good casue the tigers were playing so poor at that stage. I think we have the best developmental ranks in the nrl and you can see that because of the amount of talent we have.

Yeah, sorry if the post is sort of repetitive.

It's just that I wanted to see how much we fans rated our Juniors.

I know the usual suspects of Afamasaga, Anderson, the Smiths, Hauraki and Cordoba.

But I also wanted to see if there was a more unknown player who could make it big.

I've heard big things about Jarrod Hayne. How old is he? I believe he's a fullback, and we have a superstar fullback already, so it might be a couple of years before we see him in Firsts.

Yeh hayne is great so is reddy. We have many good prospects as well and on the day can be great players. I hope SMith does not make 1st's this year becuase his agttitude is poor from what ive seen. Next year if "god forbid" injuries come our way as they usually do.

Well I'm happy with Witt to stay at halfback.

He looked great against the Roosters in his natural position, and was confident enough to try things.

It's good to see that we not only have established First Grade talent coming our way next season, but also a great Junior base too.

I have seen some young guys at training and playing. I've been impresssed with -

Paul Marzella - JF Fullback
Brendan Oake - Captain JF second row prop
The Taia brothers - Zeb and Ben - second row, prop
Nathan Armit - Chris's younger brother lock and second row HM.

I've heard more about these young fellows rather than seen them play but they have wraps too.

What has made his attitude poor? I don't think attitude is something we can comment on from just watching him play.

I've been told to keep my eye on Flegg player Guy Williams. We got him from the Comets last year and I've been told that he has plenty of heart and plenty of talent. He's in the centres this week but can play 5/8 and lock.

I agree with all the other junior eels nominated as future star, but also think that Ben Smith, the PL centre, is also something very special.

Ben Smith!!!

And Joel Reddy

Nathan Armit is good. Jersey Flegg and Premier League have seemed to loose their way recently. Flegg is missing Hauraki and Afamasaga as well as quite a few guys that have made the step up to Premier League.

Premier League is missing the organisation of Chris Thorman and Michael Witt. Also big Moi Moi and Jim Curtis sparked their pack and now they are both missing.

I also have found that Matt Lantry is a very good young player.
