Canberra centre Joel Monaghan also plans to wait until next week to settle his future after fielding approaches from Sydney Roosters, Manly, Parramatta and the Tigers.

and

North Queensland lock Glenn Morrison yesterday told the club he was definitely leaving at the end of the season, admitting he believed playing so far from Sydney was hurting his representative prospects.

"Glenn told [football manager] Peter Parr that he was the recipient of some good offers from some other NRL clubs and also a magnificent offer from England, he would decide among those offers and he would be excluding us in his decision-making," said Cowboys chief executive Denis Keeffe.

In the words of Rove.......What the????

Why would Morrison consider England if living away from Sydney affects his chances of playing rep footy.

We have to be a chance of signing him...... throw $$$$$$ at him Fitzy.

Id be happy if we only ended up buying Riddell, Morisson and Monoghan all 3 are good players and hopefully will continue that at Parra. Has anyone heard anything more on Chad Robinson i thought his signing was a done deal?

That would mean we've signed the three best available players on the market in my opinion.

We do lack an impact player. But all of this will be for nothing if we continue to have a flat attacking style and our forwards refusing to get the ball on the advantage line and hit it up hard. Maybe Riddell can give us some flat passes and Monaghan will support our forwards like McKinnon tries to. Watch some 2001 games, the difference is that our forwards knew what forwards and backwards at pace meant. They hit up the ball hard and our backs were screaming through in support and we looked dangerous.

If Morrison's worried that his rep chances are low then I doubt he'd go to Parramatta, he'd be quick to sign up with the Dragons and Roosters. It's the only way.

Although, the Tigers are one of the other clubs chasing him and they would be worse for his rep career than Parra.

I think Parra would be a good place to enhance his rep claims becuase he would more than likely be in a back row partnership with the current NSW and Australian second rower. Selectors look favourably on partnerships.

I am not a huge fan of signing Morrison but i have to admit that Hindmarsh, Cayless, Morrison would make a fantastic defencive platform. The side is averaging 27.2 points against them a game. This just simply isnt good enough to be a top 8 side.

I would support the signing of Morrison but i wonder where that would leave Wagon? I think the guy is great, he has to be somewhere in the starting 13 for sure.

  Yeah OK   Don't think now think about the future something Morrison will be doing and something that the Wests Tigers do have is a very promising future in years to come given that we have retained the services of all of our junior Kiwi and Aussie players ;-)

+ Morrison was a Tiger that would probably like to go home. I think we need to keep the ball rolling with Gallen and Feeney.

I'd be thinking about a role in the centres.

I think Centre would be a good place for Wagon, he played some good games their in 2001. If the whole side can play well then i think who ever you got at centre is going to play well. His defence will certainly bring that 27.2 points against average down.

Cayless could easily move back to prop, with Hindy-Morrison-Wagon in the 2nd row. But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. I think the Dogs are also talking to Morrison and if Price does infact go to the Warriors they will have plenty of cash to throw at him.

I think Monaghan will stay in Canberra which could mean the Roosters will go after Roberts and we could be infact left with the scraps :?
