The South Sydney Rabbitohs have sealed third position on the Telstra Premiership Ladder at the conclusion of the 26 rounds, and will take on second-placed Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park in Melbourne on Saturday 8 September at 5:45pm in week one of the Finals.
The winner of this game will progress through to week three of the Finals and are only one win away from a position in the NRL Grand Final to be played on Sunday 30 September at ANZ Stadium. The loser will progress through to week two of the Finals.
The Rabbitohs under 20s side have also qualified for the Toyota Cup Finals, finishing the season in sixth position.
The under 20s will take on arch rivals, the Sydney Roosters in week one of the Finals with the winner progressing through to week two and the loser being eliminated from the competition for season 2012.
The Toyota Cup Elimination Final between the Rabbitohs and Roosters will be played as the curtain raiser to the Rabbitohs vs Storm NRL fixture, kicking off at 3:15pm at AAMI Park.
Tickets for Week One of the 2012 Telstra Premiership Finals Series will go on sale to Ticketed Club Members of the competing NRL teams from 10am-6pm tomorrow, Monday 3 September.
Tickets will then go on sale to the general public from 10am Tuesday 4 September.
Tickets will be available through Ticketek outlets, on 132 849 or www.ticketek.com.au/nrlfinals. New Zealand customers can also call 09 307 5000 or 0800 842 538 (toll free in NZ).
