trying to rack my brain, struggling to find one. anyone got any?

saw an episode of the US version of "the office" and it wasn't too bad. not as good as the pom version, but not bad. it had that bloke from the 40 year old virgin as david brent, he did pretty well.

The lion king ;-)

(ok it was a rip off of a foreign cartoon rather than a remake of a movie but it almost qualifies)

The American version of "The Ring" was your typical Yankee adaptation of a good foreign film, foregoing everything that made the original so good.

There was nothing great about the original other than the idea. It wasn't scary and as a few people have said who would watch a move you havw to read anyway? May as well just read the book

are you saying that 3 men and a baby was a good movie?

that would have to be steve guttenberg's proudest moment. pretty sad entry on anyone's acting cv.

still yet to hear of a decent remake. most of them are dodgy horror pics with hot hollywood starlets.

i think with resevoir dogs, the only thing that was stolen was the three way mexican standoff at the end, everything else is original.

didnt know that magnificent seven was a remake. was it knicked from an old samurai movie or spaghetti western?

Yeah its a western version of Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. A Bugs Life is also based on this movie.

Alot of his movies have been used as the basis of an american film.
A fistful of dollars is based on Yojimbo. Last Man Standing and Millers Crossing are also based on this flick.
Star Wars is based on the Hidden Fortress
