are you saying that 3 men and a baby was a good movie?

that would have to be steve guttenberg's proudest moment. pretty sad entry on anyone's acting cv.

HA HA nah Ive only seen the French version. It's watchable.

There was nothing great about the original other than the idea. It wasn't scary and as a few people have said who would watch a move you havw to read anyway? May as well just read the book

Maybe so.

But I feel the Yank version completely ruined the atmosphere of the Japanese version, which did it so well in my opinion.

Yanks are big on visual horror...I, myself, prefer psychological horror.

Vanilla Sky.

Never saw the original movie which title translates to Open Your Eyes. However the original was apparantly much better.

I've seen both and though Open Your Eyes was better I didn't mind Vanilla Sky. I think it got a bum rap because of Tom Cruise's presence.

I respectfully disgaree with you on that one.

The UK office was brilliant and one of my favourite shows.....and after being one of (first?) non US show to win the 'US logie' award (cant remember what they call it!) I saw no reason for them to remake it virtually word for word when an american audience already enjoyed the original.

I couldnt stand the US version, it just added nothing and was a bad copy of a very good original about a year or 2 after the original was done!

The Office won two golden globes, which is voted by people in the film industry, not by average idiots who pick up TV Week.

The Office (UK) was never popular in the US, the remake is a watered down version with a more sitcom-esque style which appeals to the masses.

Anyone who thinks that the US version of The Office is better is an idiot. The US version is very good for a sitcom but miles away from the genius of the original.
