I'm a fan of Val but considering he's probably the best finisher in the game I reckon its in our interest to use him in his best position (at the moment) and hopefully interchange him with fullback at times to learn his trade. Evidence? Barely played 6 in his career. 2016 stats from fullback blow Val out of the water.Yeah and he didn't have a cronk and Smith setting up plays for him either.

Hmmm doesn’t play like it.Why would he need a mentor? He played all of his juniors at fullback.
