Those intercepts are in fact great defence.

He does too often to be flukes, he does read the play well on the wing. Not as if he has not made a bad read, but does defend well on the wing, except for high balls.

Yep don't get me wrong, his wing defence is great, he almost lures the other team into passing out wide by standing inside slightly then bolts into the intercept.

I was speaking of his fullback defence where he will need to read the line and game from that position, it takes time to learn these things.

He's making a believer outta me. I was all for Duges FB/Val wing, But now Val FB/Duges centre seems to have a helluvalot going for it. BB still our (potential) best FB option,but you'd hate to lose a still young Val for just 1 more season of BB magic.
