I thought you should have won yesterday and I was cheering you on, (canberra would have been knocked out :) )

Stupid penalties by reserve players, Carl Webb for one.

I think your team should not play State of origin next year and win the premiership.

Very unfair that your whole season is F#$%ed because of it.

We didn't deserve to win. We blew every chance we had.
That first half killed us. That breeze was worth a lot more than an 8 point lead. We've got Ikin who has a big boot and can kick a 40/20 but we only got one for the whole half. Instead of playing for field position with the wind behind us and being patient we gave them piggy back penalties out of their half nearly every set which cancelled out the advantage we had.

The try on halftime to Ross just sealed the deal. Thats the third piece of poor defence on our line in 2 weeks. You can't concede those types of tries at any level of the game let alone finals football and expect to win.

Minto was terrible. He was caught too far in field again to give the Panthers their first try and his failure to catch that bomb in the second half gave the Panthers another. Tallis passing with the line open in front of him really just summed up the whole day and the last two months.

In a way I'm glad this season is over, finally we are put out of our misery in what is probably the lowest point in this clubs short history. About the only highlight out of the weekend for the Broncos was Motu Tony being the cataylst for a big Warriors win. Lets hope he can produce those kind of performances for the Broncos next season.

On the State of Origin bit. I refuse to use it as an excuse. The Roosters had 8 players involved in this years series, the second worst club effected. Why is it that they have been able to maintain consistant form throughout the season. Why is it that they haven't lost 8 in a row? Why is it that Newcastle still finished ahead of us despite having plenty of players involved and they were even winning without Joey towards the end.

The Roosters have had plenty of injuries as well. At one stage they were down to their 4th string kicker and Justin Hodges suffered a season ending injury in game 1. At no stage has it knocked them back. The Broncos have also shown they can backup when they want to. They won all 3 backing up games this season against quality sides in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne.

Of course the Broncos have always and probably always will struggle around the State of Origin period but for Bennett and others to say its still effecting them 9 weeks later is an insult to the club and its integrity.

A lot of what happened in that game was your teams own fault Tallis was tackled, he fell over the try line but threw the ball back to another player.....WHAT THA????? all he had to do was slam the ball down and the score would have been even, sorry I just can't understand why he would do that.

Did he forget what the try line looked like or what?

No excuses from me, we blew it with the DUMB penalties.

I am glad our season is over, now I don't have to go to Lang Park to watch us make dumb mistakes or watch them on TV doing the same.

At least with the Broncos losing so many games, I saved on video tapes.

I'm not glad your seasons over, not having the Broncos in the semis is like not having chips with steak. ;-) It's just not as good. PLus I would have loved to see someone put Penrith in their place

I thoroughly enjoyed our round 26 victory over y'all in 2002 and I was hoping to see the Dogs get a chance to go head to head with you full strength to erase the memory of the 24-0 shutout you gave us this year.

Plus the game loses some of it's excitement without the chance to see it's best player: Darren Lockyer running around week in week out.

Anyways better luck at home next year Broncos, your leg-breaking stadium looks awesome, and you've certainly got almost all the talent you need (except a half, maybe you should speak to the dogs we've got: Braith, shifty, thurston, and oliver, but you can't have 'em)

Thanks ngunity, it's good to see opposition fans that respect us. Of course, saying Lockyer's the worlds best player is always going to get us onside.

I'm sure you can spare one of your halves. How about you send up Shifty, Braith or Thurston to us. And throw Utai in as well. ;-)

it was all scott minto, if he didnt play then i think 18 of penriths points would have been prevented

With the wind in the 1st half favouring us, we should have been more then 8 points in front.

We should have been in front by about 20 points.

Asking for Utai too is just going too far, don't be greedy. 8)

A mate and I recall the Australian test where Lockyer had the worst game had by anyone ever (aside from maybe Justin Hodges in Origin debut), but since then everything he does is gold, the guys awesome. Shame he has to run the show alone, creativity wise a lot of the time for Brisbane/ QLD

Well, keep Utai and give us O'Meley then. :p

Just about all Broncos fans are hoping that Seymour comes into the side next year, so that will finally give us a half who can take some pressure of Locky. And with Motu Tony heading over from the Warriors, he should add some further creativity.
