Really disappointed that Vete never kicked on here. Had potential, but never got the feeling he worked all that hard. You never heard a 'trains the house down' or similar quote in regards to him, that we've heard about Bunty etc. Plus he was involved in the Stupid Six. I know his career was poorly timed around shit era of our club but he should look back on his time with us with huge disappointment.

Like so many, he started out with lots of promise. hard running. bending the line, good in the contact.

Then for some weird reason he seemed to model his game on Lillyman. backing into tackles...playing a a self preservation type game. He was never going to get away with being an Aussie tradesman type.

Probably the biggest difference between him and Paasi, Bunty, is the lack of regard for personal safety shown by Albert's peers when they hit the ball up.

Then if you compare Albert's defence to the rest of the young guns (I'm thinking players coming on now like the former mentioned props and including Satae, plus Papalii) there is a gulf there in tackling endurance.

Albert and Lisone are of the same vintage, you can see the Warriors player evolution change from those boys to the much fitter player we are evolving in our development programs now.

Mathew Elliot will forever be the watershed moment in local development, the minute he pushed all the big ego Juniors up to reserve grade to harden off...we started to see change.

Just saw teams it's our Vete on the Storm bench?

He played the last 15 minutes. His offload initiated the first points of about 20 or so the Storm scored in that last stanza. Got the honour of running the ball back from kick offs too and did it with aplomb. Not a bad 15 minutes work for Albert.
