Its funny this thread is up, because have i got a story for you all. I dropped my mum and sister off at the T-Way bust stop as they went to Parramatta to go shopping (as women do). Anyhow on their way home, as they were ready to hop back on the T-Way bus, there was a man wearing a hat, pulled down over his face, trying to keep to himself.
Anyway this bloke was carrying a Wests Tigers training bag. My sister being the brainwashed little darling that she is, noticed the bag, and then looked up and then realised instantly it was a Wests Tigers player. That player was none other than Gray Viane.
My mum and sis, sat infront of him in on the bus ride home. Anyway my sister informed my mum who was sitting behind them, Mum had no idea  until she heard the words he's a Wests player. My sis then was searching for something for him to sign, so she could ask him for his autography, she did so on a shopping receipt and then turned around and asked "Excuse me, are your Gray Viane?"
He stared at her for a second in shock, and then kindly signed the receipt and then both went back to what ever they were doing before hand. Then all of a sudden, he lent foreward and engaged in conversation with my sister and mother. He said that "he was surprised and shocked that she recognised him and infact knew who he was!"
Anyway they got talking about different things. He was in parramatta to meet his girlfriend for lunch, but little did he know it was her day off, so he decided to catch the t-way to Fairfield. He had finished training and wanted to surprise her. Then they began discussing footy, the Bulldogs issue, Wests Tigers current form, Tim Sheens, Buddha going to England etc.
My sister asked him why he hasn't been playing, he said well the obvious, he was out last year with a broken arm, but then did his ankle in the trial's and has been resting and getting it rehabilitated. He played last week for the Magpies and he was happy with his comeback.
Apparently Sheens has informed him he may be rushed straight into the side to take on Manly, something he hopes will come true, as he is chomping at the bit to get out there and make a difference. He's been frustrated sitting on the sidelines and wants to get back on the field and help the boys out.
Mum asked him how often do they train and then asked when they will be training next? He told her Friday, which is my sister's 17th Birthday. He then told her to bring her down to training and he'd organise to get her a signed jersey. They were both blown away. So i've been told to pop in and take her down to watch them train and then meet up with 'Gravy Train' after the session.
They asked him what stop he was getting off at he said i've got to get off at a stop earlier than he wanted to do, because he was 30 cents short, so Mum took the liberty and gave him the 30 cents so he could reach his destination! he was wrapped. It made my sister's day, and i think it made his as well. He's now got a fan for life 8)
