E A & Glenn

Thanks for that, I got up today and the money was correct, therefore I am able to recruit a couple more. In hindsight I am probably better off seeing what is available. Best of luck boys.

So if Mark O'Meley scores 1 try and makes a cominded 40 tackles/hitups I recieve 8 points hey?

That's what it says, I think Pigskin is wrong, note the word "additional" that I highlighted off the web site. I think that makes it clear.

I was wrong once in 1999 ;-)

copied and pasted from the Help section under FAQ's

"Player X scored a try and he's a forward, where's my forward try?

That's not how a forward try works. A forward try is scored if a player makes a combined total of 40 tackles and hit ups. Unlike 2003, there is no tackling efficiency rating.

The other requirement is that your Virtual NRL team must pick the player in a forward position. That is, either back row, front row, hooker or interchange forward. However, a player doesn't have to play in the forwards in the real NRL to score a forward try. If Danny Buderus plays at halfback and makes 35 tackles and 5 hit ups, he still earns your team a forward try if you have him at hooker or interchange forward."

but seriously, this only confuses further after reading your cut and paste above hmmmmm

Yep.

Last season it was 25 min tackles and 15 min hitups or 35 tackles at 90% efficiency.

It looks like they've changed it to 40 and the mixture doesn't matter.

I think they changed it to one method as some players were doing 35+ tackles and 15+ hitups and people expected 2 forward tries.

EA I realised last year theat your Gk, wingers and fullback + forwards work rate go a long, long, long, long way to being successfull. In that regard you have done quite well. It shoul;d be interesting to see who is where after 5 rounds. Best of luck and I look forward to round 7. I hope that the ground will be big enough for the bumper crowd. :alcho:

Just wondering what makes u think Karmichael is in your squad, not unless there has been some type of web error. Look at my list to see that he is on the bench for round 1 Gold Coast Giants

i've got a few teams ready to go

but having tried all 3 recruiting styles, live draft is by far the fairest imho

I intend hosting such a comp, but won't start it till early next week .... hoping the server will be running nice and smooth by then
